I grabbed my stuffed bear for comfort, but noticed that its eyes were glowing. As if lava as erupting from its soul. Hands tremble from shock after Steward ripped himself from my grip. He waddled to the main bedroom as i followed him although keeping a distance.

At the corner of my eye, I saw a pack of wolves engulf Steward. I ran back to my late sanctuary.

Seated with my back against the ebony door, I watched my bedroom turn into a lonely and damp forest.

Observant eagles soared above, never stopping to rest. Ants struggled to stay afloat above the stream.Walls caved in from overlooked cracks that were meant t be repaired years ago.

I realised that I am that forest. My sanctuary had transformed into who I really am. Mother had deserted me.
