-Jessie's POV-
"Why couldn't I just have a normal life" I screamed to my dad as I locked myself in my room. "Sometimes I just wish you and Liz had never even met!"
Liz was my step mom who tried to hard to be my mom. She always wanted to have special moments, and to have certain talks with me, but to me no one could replace my mom!
I tried to calm myself down to see if I could go downstairs and spend the rest of the night with my brother but i just couldn't. When i looked into the mirror my eyes were all red and puffy, and i felt like it i looked at my dad or Liz i would burst into tears.
Right now i just wished that i could be with my mom, she always understood what I was going through and she was open to talk no matter what. I just don't feel comfortable talking to Liz about my personal life. The only person i could trust right now was Jaxon (weird spelling i know but I love the way it looks) my older brother.
He was 17 and I was 15, we had always had a close connection, but we fought like brother and sister. When our parents got a divorce and my mom moved to Paris I decided to stay with my brother. Jaxon was a typical teenage boy, shaggy hair, baggy tee's, and skinny jeans. Every girl in school wanted to date him but he just wasn't interested, he wanted to focus on school.
I was just about ready to fall asleep, my head buried into my pillow, I heard a know on my door. "You okay Jessie? Can i come in?" It was Jaxon, i was kinda grateful for that. "Sure" I hollered back at him through my pillow.
I heard my door creek open, and the footsteps came closer as he sat on my bed. He picked up the picture I have of mom on my night stand. "Miss her?" He mumbled softly.
"Extremely" i said as i rolled over to see him looking down at me with his vibrant green eyes just like moms.
"You remind me so much of her" Jaxon exclaimed to me, "if she was here right now i think she would be proud of you. You are so much stronger now than you were than."
"Stronger? Ha" i muttered through the blankets.
"No, not physically, i meant emotionally, you are not likely to give up as easily...Well we have school tomorrow, so I better let you sleep" he said while hugging me tightly " I will never leave you to fend for yourself in this house, I know how much you hate Liz, and if I could, I would find a way for both of us to move to Paris so we can live with mom."
~~~~~The Next Day~~~~~~
-no ones POV-
"Ohmygoodness, Ohmygoodness, Ohmygoodness!" Jessie screamed at the top of her lungs waving 2 plane tickets around. "Guess what Jaxon!"
"What" Jaxon replied with absolutely no interest
"Mom just sent us 2 tickets to paris so we can fly out and visit her!!"
Jaxon suddenly perked up "you mean...we get to go visit her? When?"
"They are for the 6:45 am flight out of the calgary airport sunday morning, so in 5 days." Jessie said so fast that all you heard was gibberish.
"Wosh there, slow down... 5 days? Thats not much time to get ready. We better get packing!" Jaxon explained with much enthusiasm.
Jessie had a sly look on her face as she slowly pulled a third ticket out of her back pocket, "Mom sent an extra ticket for one of our friends, i think we should take Kat since she has been our friend since mom left" She mumbled.
When Jaxon and Jessie got to school the went straight to their lockers which were right beside eachothers and Kat's was beside Jessie's.
"Morning Jessie, Morning Jaxon." Kat announced in a joyful mood.
"morning" we both replied in a just as joyful mood. "Whats got you so happy" Jessie asked Kat.
"Im not quite sure, Ive just been really happy lately"
"well Im sure youll be even more happy in a few minute" Jessie exclaimed as she turned to walk to her class.
When Jessie finally reached her class she heard a loud screach, she was sure it was Kat, and it was probably because of what Jaxon had told her.
