The New Mission

Three Months Later

"Two hundred seventy two..."

"Two hundred seventy three..."

"Two hundred seventy four..."

Luhan wipes the drops of sweat running down through his face enduring the pain from his throat down to his body just to maintain his fit physique and extraordinary strength. A 200 push-ups and 300 curl ups has become his daily routine after waking up in the morning before going to work.

"Two hundred ninety eight..."

"Two hundred ninety nine..."

"Three hundred!"

He stands up and removed his shirt that has been wet from the massive exercise, and exposed his body full of sweat.

Exhaustion is not evident from his face as he gets the towel and cheerfully heads to the shower room to take his bathe. This is his life, his passion. Ever since he was a child, he dreamt of helping people, to serve for the prosperity and safety of his fellow men. So when he went to college, he decided to become a police officer as his profession. At first, he's family was against it knowing the danger about his chosen path, but he insisted again and again and plead countless of times especially to his mother whose been very paranoid every time he goes to a hard training or every time he goes on a raid or shootouts.

Her mother never supported about his choice and tried to convince him to just manage their family business, but he knows his mom's sweet spot and that made her let him do whatever he wanted as long as he promise to take extra care to himself and go home safe and sound. Contrary to his mother, his grandfather supported him all throughout his journey. His grandfather was a retired general and has left a good impression to the police and armed forces community. Where his father was busy managing their family business together with his older brother.

His job is his joy and nothing could make him happy more than when he caught criminals and syndicate groups. His mind is all about his job and nothing more. At his age of twenty five, dating has never been on his mind. It's all about work, work, shoot, fight, shoot the gun again, work and nothing more.

Riiiiiing! Riiiing!

He immediately went out of the shower, took his phone on the bedside table and answered the call.

"I bet you're not done showering yet?" said the person on the other line.

"I'm done! I'm actually eating right now and waiting for you to come over." He lied.

"Stop lying. Your shower is still on. I can hear it in the background. Be ready, I'm coming over. If you're not in the lobby in five minutes after I arrived, I will leave you." He instantly run towards the bathroom to off the shower and stormed out naked, ransacking his clothes, and picked up anything to wear hurriedly as he was alarmed by what he heard.

"Yah! Do Kyungsoo! You know my mom took the car from me and freeze my bank account because he saw stiches from my face after the raid, and the paranoid she is, she even took my license just to punish me for not taking care of my face. I can't take public transportation; you know that I hate waiting for the bus! You'll let your bestfriend stuck in the traffic and be late at work?!"

"It's your fault for being late. And by the way, I'm at the parking lot already, faster or I'll leave you behind. Bye."

"Hey! Just give me ten min---" *toooot toot toot* he was cut off midway when Kyungsoo hanged up. He frantically wears his black fitted pants, white plain v-neck shirt, a black leathered boots paired with a black leathered jacket to complete his get up. He then opened the drawer and put the gun inside his jacket and hastily run towards his condominium door and took the elevator going to the lobby.
