"Wake up Y/N! You're going to be late for your last day!" My mother loved to yell at me in the morning. Thank the lord baby Jesus that she won't be able to do anything about that now! This is it. The last day of my senior year! I'm out of hell. Technically I should be graduating in a couple months, but I decided to graduate without my class so I could leave early. Completely worth it if you ask me. It just allowed me to go to England faster! "Y/N, are you up yet?" my mother nagged. "Yes, calm your tits and close my door please." I'm not the kind of person who tells my mom everything, but we got along pretty well as I didn't have a father. She was the one that kept me going through a lot of shit. I'm glad for that and as much as I'd hate to admit to her, I'll miss her when I'm off in England. Before you judge, I'm not obsessed with English accents. To be honest, I've always wanted to go to England. Mainly because I thought it'd be interesting, and through the wonders of the internet I know a couple people there! But that's beside the point. As I got ready for my last day, thoughts continually went through my head. I got my strapless dress on and grabbed the cardigan I had to wear over it. As I started walking out the door I said my goodbyes to my mom and got into my car. "I'm gonna miss you Buggy." I named my car Buggy... I have a Volkswagen Bug, so I know how creative it is. "God, I'm a bit pathetic aren't I," I laughed at myself.
As I arrived at school I went down the performing arts hallway to meet up with my friends. "Y/N, I can't believe you're leaving me! I'm going to be stuck with Ethan for the rest of the year!" Ethan was a great guy, kind of. He's funny when he wants to be but annoying all the other times. "Karen, you've got just a month left! You'll be fine I promise." She started to open her mouth but I cut her off knowing what she was about to say, "And yes, it is different for me. I've waited my entire life to go to England and this is the only chance I'm going to get." My mom had won a plane ticket from doing so well at her job. She could choose anywhere to go and since she doesn't like flying she gave them to me. "Yeah, yeah I know. I'm just going to miss my best friend, that's all." I sighed and gave Karen a hug. "I'm going to miss you to." The bell warning us that first period was coming up rang so we parted ways and went to our classes. Today was going to be a long day.
The day drug on for what seemed forever. Finally, the bell dismissing us rang and I was homebound! "Oh my god, that's it. It's over! HELL IS OVER BITCHES!" I screamed. Nothing they could do about it now! I went straight home and finished my laundry so I could pack my bags. I was going to be staying in England for two months. I had finally packed the last of my clothes when the doorbell rang. I ran downstairs to see who it was. Opening the door I saw Trent, my ex-boyfriend. He had cheated on me so I broke it off. "What the hell are you doing here?" He gave me a crooked smile. "I heard you were leaving town for a bit. I was just going to wish you luck." Weird... "Thanks, I guess." I said goodbye to him and shut him out. "I don't understand that kid." When my mom finally got home, I made dinner for the both of us. "I don't know what I'm going to do without you Y/N." Here it comes. "Mom, I already told you that you'll be fine. You have the animals to keep you company. Plus Grandma and Grandpa are coming down tomorrow aren't they? So they'll keep you distracted." She didn't look convinced. "I suppose. It's just that you're my baby and I don't want you to grow up." She came in for a hug but I wiggled away. I hated interacting with her as bad as it sounds. We finished eating our last meal together before the big trip. I took my shower and went straight to bed thinking about the amazing times to come in the future.
