Acceptance

Chapter 3

Melody's pov:

Jessika drags me out of the bathroom and we find Draven leaning against the wall. He rushes over to me and holds me in his arms speaking soothing words in my ear. i break down crying. "t-they said a-all these t-things a-and i c-couldn't take it anymore... " Draven coos in my ear and tells me to take slow easy breaths while he soothingly rubs my back. i slowly calm down then Draven picks me up bridal style and carries me somewhere. i dont know where because i hid my face in the crook of his neck though i hear him whisper something to someone.

Draven's pov:

once Melody was out of the bathroom, i rushed over to her and held her in my arms telling her soothing words in her ear. i felt bad that it caused her to break down in tears but i helped calm her down before i picked her up bridal style. she rested her head in the crook of my neck. while she was curled up against me i turned my head slightly and whispered to Jessika to grab some food and meet me in the nurses office. i want to try to get melody to eat when no one is around her except for the people she knows and trusts. i walk with Melody to the nurses office and ask for a quiet room with no one in it. They give one to me, once they see Melody in my arms, but just tell us to keep the door open. i nod and walk into the room, sitting down on a chair. Melody on my lap, her head still in the crook of my neck.

Jessika's pov:

i grab 2 plates of food. i brought cold lunch today from home today so i'm okay. i'm worried about Melody. i bring the plates into the nurse's office and ask where Draven and Melody are. One of the nurses lead me to a room and that's when i see the two. i smile lightly and walk in to the room quietly. "hey... want me to stay or leave you two alone mel? it's up to you." i say lightly smiling. "stay..." i hear her whisper. i smile "okay.. i will then."

Melody's Pov:

i know Jessika and Draven are really trying to help me and are worried about me. i'm really not that hungry but i suppose i could try to eat for them since i know they wont judge me. the two are just smiling and going at my pace which i appreciate, they're not forcing me to do anything. i look up at Draven. "w-will you e-eat with m-me please?" i ask in a whisper. i see Draven smile. "of course love. i'll eat with you. Luckily, Jessika got our food for us" i thank Jessika and look down at the food on the trays. i'm glad when Draven eats first then encourages me to eat as well with his heartwarming smile of his. Draven finishes first then slowly feeds me small bites of the food until i am done with the whole plate.
