It was a normal day in the Addams household. Uncle Fester was upstairs blowing up his dynamite caps, Morticia was knitting a new sweater for Cousin Imar, Gomez was doing zen yogi, Mama was wrestling the alligator, and the children were playing with the guillotine. However, Wednesday and Pugsley felt a bit lonesome, having no one else to play with.
"Pugsley? Do you ever get this lonely feeling?" Wednesday asked, staring at her older brother.
"Yeah. I think we should ask mother if we could have a playmate," Pugsley replied getting up. Wednesday, too, stood up and followed her brother. Pugsley led the way toward Morticia.
"Mother?"
"Yes, Pugsley darling?" Morticia said, not looking up from her knitting.
"Can we have a playdate?" Wednesday and Pugsley asked in unison. Morticia looked up from her knitting and thought for a second.
"Of course, dear. But may I ask whatever for?" Morticia asked.
"We just feel a little lonely," Pugsley replied, looking down. Morticia nodded and called for Gomez. He did not respond. He must have fallen asleep, Morticia thought. Before she did anything, she told the children to grab a snack from the kitchen. Once they were gone, Morticia tooka deep breath and tried again.
"Gomez? Gomez, darling? Bubeleh?" A sudden "Tish!" rang through the house as Gomez quickly got out of his form and ran toward Morticia.
"Oh, Tish. That name," Gomez said as he left a trail of kisses up her arm.
"Gomez, darling, not now. Children first, bubeleh later," Morticia cooed as Gomez nodded and stood up. "Darling, the children are asking for a playdate. What should we do?"
"Ah, it's simple, my dear! Just buy them a whole cratefull of spiders. That'll really get them excited!" Gomez exclaimed.
"No, dear. I think they meant someone around their age to play with." Gomez nodded as he puffed from his cigar in deep thought. Then, Morticia had an idea.
"I know! Let's call up that nice Miss. Comstock and see if any of the students would like to have a day here!"
~Harold Pomeroy's House~
Harold and his friend, Henry, were playing in their backyard. They were playing kickball with one of Harold's rubber balls when Henry accidentally kicked the ball too hard and made it fly right into the Addams's backyard.
"My ball!" Harold squelled.
"Sorry Harold. I'll make sure you get it back," Henry said, running inside the house.
"Henry, wait!" Harold called, but little did Henry know that the massive mansion belonged to the Addams family.
