The ringing finds its way into my ear and brings me jerking awake. I slam the off button on my alarm while yawning. I hop up and grab a red t shirt and jeans from my closet. After finding my flip flops, I rush into the bathroom before Ginny and start to get ready for school. I gaze at my rat nest hair. It's sticking out every which way, left and right. Great, it's going to be impossible to brush this out, i think. A large knock pierced the silence.

"Hurry up! I gotta pee Matt!!!!" Ginny squeals. That's just what every teenage boy wants to hear in the morning (hints sarcastic tone).

"Ugh. Gimme a few minutes!" I yell back, attempting to brush my hair with putting toothpaste on my toothbrush. I stick my toothbrush into my mouth and finish brushing my hair. With one hand I brush my teeth, and with the other, put my jeans on. I open the door and my sister rushes in. Just as I spit in the sink, she sits on the toilet. I pull the red shirt over my bare chest and walk out of the bathroom.

"I'll give you some space, but remember Ginny, today is your day for lunches!" I remind my sister, closing the bathroom door.

"There are frozen waffles. Eat em'. I already packed your lunch in the fridge. Don't take the one with my name on it Dufus!!!" She yells from behind the door. I nod and head into the kitchen, pulling my lunch out of the fridge and putting it into my back pack. Then I pop two frozen waffles into the toaster. I fill my water bottle and set it into the bottle holder on the side of my pack. Ginny comes out of the bathroom refreshed, dressed, and pretty. She takes my waffles out and tosses them to me. I catch them in the palms of my hands, while she stuffs two more in for herself. I munch on the waffle and walk to her car. I check my phone, waiting for my sister to hurry up. Ginny gets into the slug bug with a waffle still in her mouth. She starts the car and we're off. We don't say a word until she pulls into the front of Wood Dune High. The name doesn't make sense, but it's school, so I don't really have a choice on where to go and where to not go. "Have a good day. I'll pick you up at four. See ya' little bro!" She says, kissing my forehead quickly. I playfully wipe of the kiss with a chuckle and climb out of the car.

"Yeah OK. See you then Ginny," I tell her as she drives off.

"Dude! Wassup!" My best friend, Rover, run over, playfully punching my side. I put a hand Over the spot of pain.

"Hey! Ow!" I exclaim.

"You're such a wimp. I hardly even hit you... So have you heard?!" Rover suddenly get softer.

"No, but why are we whispering?" I ask, whispering.

"I don't actually know," he chuckles. "Probably because everyone else is. Any who... Her name is Victoria."

"What?" I ask, confused.

"Yeah. The new girl," rover explains. I raise an eyebrow. We never get new students unless it's the beginning of the year. Even then, it's only Freshman.

"New girl? Uh, Rover, are you sure about that? We never get new people?" I ask.

"Do I look like I'm crazy?" He says giving me a 'seriously?' Look.

"Do you really want me to answer that?"

"Well I'm serious M.T! We have anew girl and she is hot, or at least that what I've heard," Rover continues.

"And I care because..." I tell him.

"This is a rare opportunity for us! I wanna ask her out!" My best friend says with a proud, silly grin on his face.

"Good luck with that Rover. Now if you excuse me... I have to get to class," I explain, griping my backpack straps and heading to the west wing of the school, where Algebra 1 is.
