•Gajeel's POV•

Another long day of work was done. Finally, the week was over and I could sleep in on the weekend. Walking down the street, I shivered because of the cold winter that was no where near ending.

I opened the door to the small coffee shop that was located on the way home. The warm air and Christmas music welcomed me as I found my way to the table located in the corner with a view of the busy street outside. The place was nearly empty with only about two other customers. I sat for a moment before a young lady came to ask what I wanted.

"Hi Gajeel," she greeted me with a happy smile. "Black coffee, as usual?"

"Yepp," I nodded. She turned and skipped of to the counter. Levy, the waitress, serves this same part of the shop every time I come here. The rest of the shop was separated into sections for the other workers.

I came here everyday after work, which is only the weekdays. And from what I have learned, Levy works the same days. There were many other coffee shops in our town, a Starbucks down the street even, yet I still came here every time and I have no idea why. The prices weren't too different, the employees didn't have bad attitudes, and the food and drinks were good. There was no reason that I had found that I came here instead. I pondered this every time I sat here waiting for my black coffee that I got each time. The only difference that I found was Levy.

One time, a long while back, I came here after work because the other places that served coffee were packed and this place had a fair amount of people. Ever since then, I had come here. Over the many, many visits, I noticed that each time I got served by the same polite, young female. One day, Levy sat down with me and we talked because she had no other customers to tend to. Over the many other visits we talked more but never outside of my visits.

"Here you go," she smiled brightly as she sat down the cup in front of me.

"Thanks," I nodded towards her as I stirred the coffee with the small black straw, waiting for it to cool a bit.

She left again to take care of a customer that just entered. I held my cup and took sips of it as I stared out the window.

People who were buried in coats, scarves, gloves, and other things were rushing this way and that with hands and arms carrying mounds of bags due to the upcoming holiday. Red and green lights and decorations were everywhere on the insides and outsides of stores all down the street. Other people were admiring the lights and the cheerful decorations with their significant other or child. They had white puffs of air coming out of their mouthes and kept rubbing their hands together hoping for warmth.

I looked up towards the grey sky. Despite the cold weather that had been staying, there hasn't been any snow yet. The clouds looked as if they were threatening to let that change but didn't.

"I wished it would snow," Levy sighed which pulled me out of my thoughts. She was now sitting across from me.

"Hopefully it will," I agreed as I turned towards her.

She looked as if she was thinking while she was staring at me.

"Where do you work?" She asked bluntly. "If you don't mind me asking, of course. I just noticed that I don't know where you work," she laughed. I chuckled along with her.
