We were divided into five factions to try and keep the peace, these five factions made up our humanity in this run down world - the factions were Abnegation known as the selfless, Amity known as the peaceful, Candor known for honesty, Eurdite known as the intelligent and of course Dauntless known as the brave as if jumping off a moving train didnt prove that enough. Anyway amongest us all were a limited few remaining that couldnt be controlled and they were known as Divergents and i was one more gifted then any other Divergent except a girl i'll explain more about later - i on the other hand can control all four elements (earth, air, fire and water) along with shield healing and a special gift called spirit....crazy when you first think about it but its rather quiet fun - except for the fact your family cant know about you...i had to leave mine my brother mainly but we've gotten to know each other again over the past year before i ran away from Dauntless that is.
Besides all that this girl like me less gifted was born into the faction known as Candor (the honest ones), she had parents two older sisters (Rose and Stephanie) and her twin Christina - her name was Christia. By the age of ten she discovered that she was different that she'd inherited the Divergent gene with a few gifts attached, so a year later one night i tracked her down and helped her plan her escape she wasnt too happy with leaving behind her twin sister but she was a little more understanding when i told her it was for the safety of her family more then anything else. So one night while her family was sleeping i helped her quietly pack her bag and we were both about to slip out when her twin woke and said "where are you off to" hiding around the corner against the wall, Christia looked back at her and half smiled as she replied "i'm going out...go back to sleep" Christina yawned too tired to argue rolling over fell back asleep, looking at Christia i tapped her on the shoulder and as she held back the tears she quietly said 'i'll see you again soon my sister...just know that i love you and that i'm watching over you always' in saying that we closed the door and walked out, leaving the Candor building i half hugged her as we made our way to the train tracks. Once there we waited for the train and i jumped board (being a transfer already), i helped her board and closed the door as she sat down and let the tears fall sitting down beside her i pulled her into my lap and hugged her as she was only eleven and now left with only one person to trust that she barely even knew but she agreed that it was for the safety of her family more then herself.
We rode the train till we were far enough away from the factions, helping her up i grabbed her bag and holding her hand we jumped off the moving train, slinging her bag on my back we wondered along the path before i found a safe building for us. Once inside i blocked off the hole we'd made and gave Christia her bag and said "stay here and stay warm...i'll be right back" she nodded and started making a fire as i ducked out back to the train to get some surplies, i was back a few minutes later slipping in the same hole in the glass i blocked it off and put away the food we could store and we ate what we couldnt, after we'd eaten i made her a make shift bed beside me and patted it as she moved over and laid down quietly humming i gently patted her back and smiled to myself as she slowly drifted off to sleep...i soon enough followed after her. Hours passed and i woke early to the sound of the wind, noticing she was still asleep i carefully got up and slipped out the hole and paced back at forth outside on the roof of the next building watching the hole of the building she was in, when the morning sun hit me i smiled and watched it spread to the glass above the hole and shook my head when i heard Christia stir awake. Moments later after she'd eaten she emerged from the hole, i jumped down off the roof and landed on my feet as she said "for a minute there i thought you were my imagination" i smiled and said "sorry sweetie but im real as real can be" she giggled and i said "time to start training...we've got a lot to get through if you ever want to get back to see your sister" Christia nodded and i smiled as we set to work, we spent days training in everyway possible and resting at night with stories.
