I won't live without you

You slammed your fist on the table in a sad rage while tears spilled down your face.

"DAMNIT, FUCKING COME BACK TO LIFE YOU TWO. I NEED YOU! HUMANITY NEEDS YOU!"

You had just gotten news that your two best friends had just died. Commander Erwin Smith and Corporal Levi Ackerman had passed away in battle. You were heartbroken. The two men you loved with all your heart, had just died.

Along with Hanji Zöe, you were a brilliant scientist. You chose to operate machinery for the survey corps, instead of getting too close to a captured titan. You graduated medical school and completed all the required courses for mechanics, so you had quite the knowledge of the human body and any machine.

The bastards in the MP's decided to send their bodies to you instead of the normal funeral parlor. You sat at your cluttered desk with your head on the table, soaking in all the events you were just told, wondering how you could live without them. So you decided you wouldn't. You quickly drew up a rough sketch of a mechanic human heart and skeleton and got straight to work.

You sat at your work table for what felt like years. Welding and screwing together pieces of metal for hours. You finally got the pieces done. You knew their height and requirements for the new hearts and skeletons. All you needed to do was wait for their arrival.

You took a shower and got yourself cleaned up for Erwin and Levi's arrival. You wanted to look decent when you saw them.  You cared for them and they cared for you just as much. Hell, no one could even talk to you without feeling scared except for those two. You owe your life to them. Levi stopped your panic attacks and Erwin carried you to bed when you stayed up too late working on new plans.

The day finally came. The bodies were on your surgical tables later that afternoon. You put on your casual uniform of black pants and a black button up shirt with a white apron then prepped for the moment of truth. You washed your hands, tied up your hair, scrubbed all the supplies and prepped the hearts and skeletons to be placed.

You started with Erwin. You loved him so much. He saved you from the underground.  He took care of you, always made sure you were eating and healthy, and always carried you to bed of you fell asleep at your desk. He respected everyone and cared for humanity. He was cool and collected. You remember the scent of his cologne. Erwin loved to bear hug you and let you cling onto him for awhile. He always invited you for walks late at night and would hold your hand. His hands were big and warm and would always make you smile. He was such a good man with a great heart.

You made the incision in his chest and took out his heart and quickly put in the one you made for him. And placed the metal skeletons on top of his. You quickly sewed up the incision and left him to wake up. You put his heart in a jar with preservation fluid and placed it in the fridge.

Next was Levi, you loved him just as much as you loved Erwin. Levi cared for you greatly, even though he showed it in private.  He cleaned up your cluttered office/lab occasionally and always left a sweet note. He stopped your panic attacks.  He would always be there for you, no matter what time it was, to hold you and tell you everything is going to be alright. He loved to have you sit on his lap or keep him company. You understood each other in a way no one could have ever done. He also loved to hug you around the waist and touch foreheads. He smelled like black tea and lilac.

You recleaned your tools and did the same procedure to Levi. Making the incision, replacing the heart and skeleton, and preserving his heart with a jar. You set Levi across the room from Erwin and replaced their shirts with clean ones. All you needed to do was wait for them to wake up. You sat down at your desk and waited. You eventually got tired and fell asleep at your desk.

The next thing you know, you're in your bed. You remembered falling asleep at your desk so someone must have carried you to your bed. You sprung up out of excitement and sprinted to the lab.

You ran into the next room and saw the two men you loved most. You were amazed it worked and that they were alive. They were standing with their backs towards you, looking at their surroundings.

"Erwin? Levi?" You spoke their names nervously.

They turned toward you and greeted you with warm smiles.
"(Y/n), it's nice to see you again. I hope you are doing well" Erwin said. "Your office is a mess, I can't always clean it for you." Levi spoke.

You stood there in shock for a moment before you snapped yourself out of it.

"You're alive, I can't belive I did it. I'm so happy you're alive." You spoke quitely. Your vision got blurry with happy tears and you cried into your palms. You felt two warm arms wrap around you and heard the deep voice of the commander you've grown so fond of.

He didn't question what happened to him and Levi at the moment, he only focused on you. "Shhhh, don't cry. I promised I would never leave you." Erwin cooed, holding you close and petting your hair. Levi came over and wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, hating to see you cry. He layed his head on your back and squeezed you tightly. You cried harder knowing they still cared about you.
