Chapter Fifthteen
•Hayley's POV•
I walk with Tessa holding hands to vault. Tessa hugs me before I go on. Then my coach starts running up to me and whispered "Don't forget, be like Annie."
I rolled my eyes and started vault. My routine was: run, front handspring, and land. I got a 9.99.
I then headed to bars, and my routine was: jump, kip, pull over, jump, two kips, three pull over, back tuck, and land. I got a 9.88.
Next was beam, and my routine was: press handstand, cartwheel, back handspring, back tuck, tick tock, walk, front walk over, front tuck, and land. I got a 9.87.
Lastly was floor and my routine was: cartwheel, back handspring, back tuck, tick tock, front handspring, front tuck, and land. I got a 9.56.
I ended up getting 4th place, and mommy and daddy yelled at me. Annie gave me her medal, and Caleb told me "You are a true winner even if you don't win a medal."
