As Maya slowly stepped along the dark wood floor that creaked, she slowly made her way to the double doors of the library.Along the ground was a long carpet with a repetitive symbol. A triangle with an eye. This town did have many folktales. Maybe dad started worshipping illuminati because of these tall tales.
Giving the large heavy oak doors a push, surprisingly, they offered no difficulty and pushed along the ground gently and easily. Behind the doors though.... It was heaven...
Two floors of nothing but books. Politely, Maya took her shows off, placing them near the door. Time to get reading!!
She began looking through her choices of genres. Folktales, yes! Sci-fi, no. Health, no. Horror and fantasy?? Maybe as a last resort. Finally, non-fiction. Definite yes.
After sliding about a dozen of leather, dust covered books, Maya set them on a desk and looked at one of the books on the desk. A red book with gold hand and a number three on it.
The desk was covered in papers also... Now that she's paying attention, there was a whole wall with papers!
In a shelf nearby were photo albums though. Urgh... Which one first?
After a long hard decision, she pulled a photo-book marked 'Maya' and sat down on the ground, flipping through the pages until she stopped at one. It brought back memories.

"Mommy! Mommy!" The little girl squealed. "Daddy's home!!" Maya grinned, her cheeks red. The tall elegant woman just frowned though standing up and giving Maya a sharp glare. "Stay here." She harshly instructed before setting her paint brush down and gliding out the room.
With a frown, the girl glanced at the half done painting. A Triangular looking glass with a person's eye seen through it.

The looking glass. That used to terrify here. Giving a soft frown, and furrowed her eyebrows, trying to think more on what happened before the incident.

Chasing after mother, Maya followed their harsh yelling outside. Still, nowhere to be found. Maybe they were in the garden!!
With a bit more running in her overalls, she came to a stop when things turned a bit greyscale.
"Oh kiiiiid.~" Came a beckoning voice from the pond. Maya looked over and made her way there with no thought.
A triangle man was in the water!! "Mister?" Maya asked, smiling. "Do you need help getting outta the water? You'll get wet!"
"Oh how precious. You think I'm in the water. Look up, brat." That got her attention and he her snapped up. "There you are!!" She exclaimed with a grin.
"Come here, mister!" The kid said as he hesitantly floated over. "Hmm?~" "Why are you a triangle??" "I don't have to be."
With that, he quickly was a tall slender man with blonde hair, an eyepatch, and a snazzy tuxedo and top hat with a bowtie as extra.
"How is this?~" He said with a grin. "I like it!! Can I have your hat?" Maya asked as she picked a violet from a flower bed nearby, holding it out to him.
He took the flower but replied with a simple "No." Yet he was caught by surprise when the child grabbed his leg. He floated back with a frown, moving his leg around.
"Let go you little monster." He angrily said as he smacked her in the cane.
It may have not been the best idea. She slipped off his leg and crashed into the water before whispering "Devil." As he left just in time for the girl to be noticed by the two adults.

With a sudden jolt, Maya looked at the boy next to her and gave a shriek. "MARCO!!" She hissed, glaring at her brother.
Giving a grin in retort, the brunette boy pointed at the ceiling. "Mother said you get the honour of cleaning the attic out and getting our school enrollment forms." He snickered.
Great. Just great. "Why can't Kerstin do it?" Maya asked giving a frown as she closed the album and stood up to replace it.
"Dunno. Mom said you so I got you. BYE!!" He yelled running out.
And it was off to work she went.
