First period of the first day of my last year of hell. Great. And this is the crap I go through:
First Period: Math. Mr. Swoon. One of those chill teachers who tell you to do a page in your book and then whatever. I'd have to be an idiot to fail math. I bet Ali won't have to worry about that.....ugh.
2nd Period: English. Mrs. Jones. Already reading "Moby Dick" and we have to finish chapter 1 for homework. I can tell she'll be a teacher I hate.
3rd Period: History. Ms. Smith. Again, chill teacher. We read 2 pages, talked a little bit about the pages, then got on our phones.
Lunch (this is where it gets interesting): Ali didn't have lunch until 5th period, so I had to sit with someone else. I decided a picnic table with some of the girls I went to middle school with would suffice. Me, Ameera, Ariana, and Iris were just sitting there when this happens:
"Attention everyone! I have an announcement to make!" says the chic magnet of River Light, Ryder Lively, while standing on top of one of the picnic tables.
"Oh god. It's Ryder. Wonder what shit will come out of his mouth today." Ameera says, looking at him disgustedly.
"I am officially single. But I do have my eyes on one SINGLE girl. Cass Rogers? Ya out here?" Ryder says. The second he said my name, I turned pale. Like, vampire pale, as in Damon Salvatore pale. He was interested in me, but why? And plus, my friends think he's the biggest douche in the entire existence of mankind. I once heard Iris say that she saw Ryder talking to the devil himself.
"Yeah. I'm out here. What's it to ya?" I said, trying to be as calm as possible.
"I would like to take you out on a date this Saturday to the senior carnival. Do you accept my request?" He said. I don't know what to say. Go out with the chic magnet and have my friends call me a shrew for it? Or forever be known as the girl who turned down Ryder Lively and be embarrassed for the rest of my life? I chose the only reasonable thing to do:
"Yes, Ryder. I accept your request for a rendezvous this Saturday. I shall see you there." I said. What? I know you're looking at me like I'm crazy! I said I picked the only "reasonable" thing to do!
