One cup of coffee. I could do that, right? He only wanted to talk nothing more. I get a text from him saying to meet up at Einsteins Bros Bagels, at 8am, Saturday. Which was the next morning.
I don't know if I was really ready to have this 'talk' with him. I haven't seen him in 6 years and we didn't really end on a good note. I soon figured out that my mother shot herself, making me regret neglecting Wen, so seeing him tomorrow could get really awkward.
Also he doesn't know that Jason and I broke up and he could think I'm married to him and not Alex. Yup I'm married and expecting. So much news that he probably won't be happy to here.
"Hey," Alex whispers in my ear, "You ok?"
"Yeah, yeah," I give him a reassuring look.
"How was work?" He adjusts himself on the bed, putting his hand on my small bump, I was only 6 weeks pregnant.
"It was fine. Work was work." I slightly lie.
He gives me a skeptical look, "Really, now."
I slap his chest with a chuckle, "Yes, really."
"Whatever you say, baby." He gets up and slips on his shirt.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going out with the guys." He smiles.
"Ok, well I wish you would have told me sooner."
"Sorry baby." He leans down and gives me a small kiss, "Do you want me to stay? I'll stay."
"No, no, go you won't have a lot of time to go out once we have the kid so you should go." I laugh, "Oh and I'm going to get coffee with a friends tomorrow morning ok?"
"Ok, I love you." With that he's out the door.
