Chapter 1- Changing The Path

"It's what's best for us , We don't have the money! " mom shouted from the front of her car. "This is the third time mom ,the third time we are moving from another house , why can't you just stay in your job and stop doing something to get you fired?"I argued.
" It's not my fault Leah , they don't understand us and they won't , you are brilliant ,beautiful you will meet new friends at this college I promise ." She said while touching my long blond hair . ••••••

Mom and i moved from 3 houses in a year the longest was West
Hood where she stay for almost 6 months , we've been having financial problems and it's been really hard , but the good thing about the situation was that i was a smart girl . My SAT scores were excellent so i got the chance to attend my dream college West Hood , well it wasn't really a dream college but the only one in my little town and the only one we could afford .

" Mom how far is this one now? 167 miles like the other three towns you allowed us to move from ? Why do we keep on running ??" I was frustrated and tired of moving ,I left the only friend I've ever had in my entire life back at home, Gabby I miss awfully.

She didn't answer , well mom haven't been answering any of question lately , all she has been saying is everything will work out.

It took about 2 hours before we got there , I slept half of it . When we got into the parking lot I knew this couldn't be our house . Firstly it's modern we have never lived in a modern house before , it was a 3 storey ,and there were flowers at the side of the like a cemetery ,the difference was it made me feel alive and not dead.

Like the ones mom carry to dad's grave once a year.

"Mom we are at the wrong address,"I shouted.
She had that very weird smile on her face in which I couldn't read ,"It's not the wrong address Leah it's our new home."

"For now" I mumbled beneath my breathe.

Suddenly the front door open , a Muscular, light skin, blond hair guy who is about 6ft stood before us ,his chest was covered in tattoo . "Finally, your here babe."

Right there right then I thought I was going to collapse, Baby? With a british accent?Was mom replacing dad already? She must be kidding me! I thought.

I suddenly did what I had to, jumped in mom's van to leave. "How can this day get any worst! "I shouted angrily. Ironically the van decided not to move , I turn the keys again but this time I got no response. Briskly has I could I ran pass them and into the mansion.

I desperately wanted to get away from them.

Especially My mother.

I found myself in a Turquoise and lavender room, with expensive curtains and a very enormous bed. The bed was twice my sponge back home, the room was beautiful also had a lot of deep paintings and gorgeous shoes as if someone was staying in here.

"Leah! Honey don't do this!"I could hear my mother's mouth from the 3rd floor,just her lying tone allowed me to start drown in tears.

"Go away!" I shouted, just to see her pull the door and sat beside me.
"Who is he mom? How did you even meet him?Are you really replacing dad already?" The questions were just coming I couldn't even stop myself from asking.

"My friend Jody and I went to dinner that night when you were at Gabby's house, she brought two friends of hers and Anthony was one, he bought us drinks and we talk that night until 2 in the morning, after he dropped me home.We talked for days and months until I shared my situation with him, trust me, he insisted to help so he asked us to move in."

"Why couldn't he just pay the rent? And this is all the truth mom? "
"Yes Leah it is, trust me your going to have fun,Anthony is a nice guy and he won't hurt just promise me you will be respectful to him, now let me show you your room and we can settle in for dinner."she said happily.
