•ADRIANA'S POV•

"Hey mom," I called from the doorway. "I'm going to find a homecoming dress with Lilly and Tessa."

"Okay sweetheart," she smiled. "See you when you get back."

I love my mom. She is the sweetest human being I have ever met and he supports me in everything I do. I grabbed my Vera Bradley satchel and went outside to see Lilly and Tessa in Lilly's car.

"Hey girl!" Tessa smiled at me from the open window. I pulled the door open and slid into the backseat.

"You excited?" Lilly asked from the drivers seat.

"Yeah!" I exclaimed.

We were 3 weeks away from our Junior homecoming and today we were going to buy dresses.

None of us had dates so we decided to go as a group.

When we got to the mall, we walked to the dress shop and split up to go look in different sections.

I found 4 or 5 different dresses and went into the dressing room.

I was immediately disappointed when I came out in the first dress. I really liked it and I thought it would look gorgeous on me.

It didn't. I felt ugly and took it off as fast as I could.

I had higher hopes for the second dress but my expectations were lowered by the time I went to try on the third. The second one may have been worst than the first.

When the third dress was a no-go, I was completely crushed. Why didn't I look good in anything?

I had one more dress that I picked out to try on. I sighed and slipped into it before coming out to look in the mirror.

My only reaction was tears. I looked ridiculous. The dress was beautiful. It was cream at the top with a sweetheart neckline and there was an aqua ribbon tied around the waist. The bottom was black silk and it hung above my knees. I thought it would be perfect but it wasn't at all.

"You know you look beautiful don't you?" A voice from behind me asked.

"Who are you?" I defended.

"I'm Louis," he shook my hand.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"My sister works here," he explained. "I was bringing her lunch,"

"That's nice," I commented.

"Yeah," he agreed. "So what's your name?"

"Adriana," I told him.

"Well Adriana," he sighed. "I have to go now. But I really hope you buy that dress."

I didn't say anything as he turned around and walked out of the store. As soon as he was gone, Lilly and Tessa came back in.

"Adriana!" Lilly squealed. "What was that about?"

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"The boy!" They yelled in unison.

"Oh," I blushed. "Louis."

"He was cute," Tessa admitted.

I didn't really notice. I thought about his brown hair and blue eyes. His red skinny jeans, striped top, suspenders and Toms.

He was actually quite nerdy. But somehow quite attractive.

I think it was his British accent, which was pretty out of place in Florida.

"Did you girls find dresses?" I asked, changing the subject.

They both pulled out gorgeous dresses and I gave my approval of them.

"I like yours," Tessa said.

"Thanks," I smiled.

"Are you getting that one?" Lilly asked.

"I don't know," I frowned. I thought about what Louis said. "I think so."

"You should," Lilly nodded.

I went back into the changing room and put my clothes back on before taking the dress to the counter.

"Is that it?" A girl a few years younger than me asked. She had the same hair color and eyes as Louis. And her name tag read "Leah". It had to be his sister.

"Yep," I told her.

She smiled and rang me up before handing me a bag with my dress in it.

Lilly, Tessa and I went to eat lunch at Applebee's before they took me home.

"Did you find a dress?" My mom asked when I walked in the door.

"Yeah," I smiled. I showed it to her and walked upstairs to my bedroom.
