I woke up, sitting up from my bed and looking around me. I had not woken up to my parents obviously coming into my bedroom to wake me up which left me a bit startled. They always had the same basic rules. If they did not wake me up I would have to go to school and walk there by myself, what a joy. I walked downstairs, glancing outside as I grabbed my breakfast from the kitchen. The window showed no signs of cars on the rode, which was odd considering our street was almost always full of people driving.

I made my way up to my room, quickly shuffling on my clothing and finishing my breakfast. I ran outside worried that I would not catch the bus. Even though my parents didn't want me to ride it in the first place. 'Well, I guess the bus is late..' I thought to myself. I wondered where everyone could be. The whole entire block was eerily silent, and just are my bones chill. Why wasn't anyone, or anything out today? Heck, there weren't any sign of vicious bears or freaking adorable chipmunks looking for their nuts that they had hid during the winter!

I made my way to school, stopping by a small building located not too far away from it. The building really had no purpose except for a public restroom stop. It didn't ever make much sense to me, why couldn't you just run to the school? The building wasn't even that away from the school in the first place, it was nearly redundant. As my gaze ran over the building, something grey caught the attention to my eyes. I turned, looking to something I certainly did not expect, a human like figure with a dark grey hoodie and black pants.

"Don't you know it's the middle of the fall?!" I yelled out to this person, for now I was going to assume they were male basing off of their tall figure and broad shoulders.

The person looked up at me, face still covered besides their mouth. "You turn away from this hooded figure, and decide to go back home. You are looking for anyone, anything. You're lonely." The person spoke easily, their voice not fitting into female or male likeliness, and writing into a black and white notebook as they spoke; They didn't even have to look down when they did.

Suddenly, I could not find the control in my limbs or feel my fingers. But, this person's voice made me feel very safe, like I had just walked into my own home. But, I couldn't stay, I was moving before I knew it, I turned away from the strange person and made my way back home. Thoughts arose in my mind quickly scattering away as I forget them as soon as I decided...no, was forced to think them up. Or was I? I doubted myself that I was thinking clearly in the first place, so who could I trust?

I walked outside, looking around once again. There had to be someone around, there just had to be. Right? Right. I had to trust my gut, after all, someone was apparently controlling me! I don't really know what to think anymore. I was filled up from my toes to my head with frustration all of the sudden. I just felt like snapping, getting out of here. But if I were to snap, what would I do anyways? Threaten the trees? There was literally no other living, responding thing near me besides the hooded figure.

Then I heard it behind me. Foot steps, fast but quiet, right behind me. I didn't even bother to turn my head at the time. I sent myself into my full ability running sprint. After all, the hooded figure might've been after me, or maybe something even worse at this point. I wasn't all too sure about those things though. I had gotten so lost in my on thoughts that I found myself meeting the cold, hard embrace of a brick wall slamming into my body. That was definitely going to leave a nice few bruises.

I moved away from the wall, feeling a pair of arms wrap around my body. I felt, warm and safe again. It was the hooded figure, I knew it. It just had to be. Who else could make me feel like I don't want to run away from someone who clearly wanted to inflict pain or sorrow against me for some odd unknown reason? This figure was all too confusing for me to handle. It was comforting, had no obvious gender, spoke and controlled me, but at the same time I was absolutely furious at the thing.

"You want to get moving immediately, yet you were conflicted. Should you trust the comforting figure, or should you run from its embrace?" The figure asked, even though it would go unanswered.

"I want to be in control of my own life! I'm not your puppet," I say moving away from the figure's grasp. "I am my own person!" I practically broke my own voice.

"You are my muse. You are conflicted." The figure said, putting extra emphasis near the end of its statement.

"I'm... c-conflicted..." I spoke, the words slipping out of my mouth. "Where's your notebook? Let me at it!"

The figure looked off from where we were and suddenly had a shaky tone in its voice. "...Run, now. They're here.." It's voice was a cold whisper.

"I do what I want!" I say, moving from the figure's grasp.

I quickly turn, making my way towards where the figure had looked. I was not looking back and I was going to make my way to them. Until I noticed one, minor detail in my plan. If I were to go toward them and supposedly trust them with the full embodiment of my life and everything that I stood for, would I really trust them if they were holding guns? Pointed straight at me, lined up between my eyebrows, ready to take me out at any unknown signal or sign? I didn't think so.

With that decision made up, I made a run for the nearest house in sight that was far enough away from the group of figures slowly making their way towards me. My toes dug into the dirt as I ran, kicking up grass since I was running in such a quick panic. It probably didn't help our community payed little to no attention to the parks anyways. My eyes met with an open door, curiously enough I trusted the open door. I must be officially on the train to crazy town, sign me up now I'm boarded and ready to go!

Nonetheless, I moved quickly into the open household. I looked around me, seeing family photos with the faces blurred out. This was odd for me considering I had nearly perfect 35/55 vision. I could usually see almost anything I needed to see and wasn't yet in the need of glasses, so why were the faces blurred out? My face contorted into a confused look as I moves closer to the pictures and studied them closely. For some odd reason, they all portrayed different family photos, completely diverse ages and races all on one wall.

What was going on here? I had absolutely no idea. Perhaps I just have to take a quick nap and get my mind off of these silly delusions that I have been having. That's right, I told myself under my breath for the sake of no one hearing me. Even though no one could possibly be nearby this quickly. Unless the hooded figure or the group of freakish things ran fast then someone who never really participated in sports but still did enough not to be out of shape, which was actually very likely now that I think about it.

"You forgot to close the door, dear..." A voice spoke directly into my ears, with no sure direction from which it was coming from. "You're letting the cold out."
