Quiet nights, long days and lost words

A/N : Before I get started, I just wanted to add some things that , if you didn't read the comics, you'll need to read this in order to understand the story better.  Angel turned into a secret identify called Twilight (irony much Joss?) who wanted to create a new universe, and in order to do that, basically end the world, he wasn't completely making is actions willingly, he was being controlled by the universe itself, and, under Twilight's influence he killed Giles. Giles and Faith got a lot closer before he died and he ended up giving her his London apartment in his will. Angel joined Faith down in the UK and they both faced their inner and outer demons, Faith was helping a group of troubled slayers who saw her as a leader, and Angel brought Giles back to life with Willow's help, only for him to come back as a teenager. Back in San Francisco, that's where the scooby gang is, in order to fight Twilight, Buffy destroyed the seed of wonder, which basically is the source of all magic on earth, that pissed off a lot of people, including a LOT of slayers. After a while she was able to create another one but now the rules of magic have to be rewritten in a book that she had in her apartment, but later on was stolen by the big bads.  Okay, Xander and Dawn were a couple, they used to live together, then as magic started to fall apart so did Dawn, her memories started to disappear and everyone else started to forget that she existed as well,you know, because she was made BY magic, when they made the new seed, she gained back her memories but she felt like they weren't really hers, she didn't feel any emotional connection to the past and that lead to their consequential breakup. By the way, the scooby gang did an exorcism in a haunted building and they got two departments for low rent that they could have afforded any other way, Spike lives with Xander in one of them and Buffy, Dawn and Willow live in the other. Xander sometimes sees Anya in his apartment but nobody but himself can see her, he hasn't told anyone about it because he's afraid that he's going crazy. Willow broke up with Kennedy, which now is a rich owner of a slayer company in which the slayers are hired by famous people to be their bodyguards, and started a relationship with Aluwyn, a snake like demon lady from another dimension and later broke up with her as well. Andrew finally came out, he's officially a gay man, and he's now an essential big part of the scooby gang. Oz lives in Tibet, he has a wife, a kid and a dog and he's totally happy and he's kind of okay with Willow being gay, as okay as someone could be when they find out their ex is homosexual,just wanted to put that out there, I love Oz.  Harmony had a reality tv star in a show called "Reality bites", it was a huge hit and it's now common knowledge that vampires exist, actually, people WANT to become vampires now, which  was kind of a problem, she was also on "Dancing with the stars". Clem is now Harmony's private assistant and he's completely in love with her, at first she was oblivious but, when she was threaten by an unanimous fan who turned out to be him she kind of figured that out, she friend-zoned him and he was okay with it, literally he didn't even care. Spike works with detective Dowling and the SF police department investigating if crimes where committed by any supernatural identify, and at night the three of them often patrol, before Spike and Buffy became a thing, the idea of Buffy and Dowling was there, they even went on one date then, suddenly he lost interest. San Francisco

          The town was quiet, the wind softly blew in a warm Summer's night but Spike remained awake, he shifted in his bed trying to make himself comfortable but all these thoughts just came pilling up in his mind, most recently it was about a stupid argument he had with his roommate, the reason behind his insomnia still remained a mystery, but it had been going on for almost a week now, he was eager for some sleep , his mind was starting to play tricks on him and he didn't have the best reputation of distinguishing delusion from reality.  Xander is such a wanker, the bleach blond vampire though to himself, WHO doesn't watch "The young and restless", WORSE, who doesn't even know of it's existence? Then one though came rushing through his mind, he had been noticing a change in Xander's behavior lately, he had been a lot more anxious, secretive and jumpy and only he knew why. I guess I need to cut the guy some slack, he doesn't know that I know but, sometimes, in the middle of the night, I can hear him talking to Anya, the man must be losing his mind, but, considering what he went through, I would probably go a little insane myself...Losing someone THAT close, if something like that ever happened to Buffy.... Suddenly he felt a shiver going all the way through his cold body, just a though like that one made him sick to his stomach, he'd rather not even think about that possibility. I guess we all deal with grief in our own way.... I respect that... and that's exactly why I won't tell anyone about it, well that and the fact that maybe I'M the only going chicken Jalfrezi. He rolled over to the other side of his bed once again, this time he tried to concentrate on the background noises, the sound of the occasional vehicles passing by, sometimes even a siren or the bit's of random drunken conversations people had while passing his building, yet his thoughts would just helplessly drift to Buffy and what she was doing, he could just imagine her and Dowling running around town, slaying demons and having some cold ones and there he was, laying on his back, worthless in any way, even if he wanted to do something, he was way to tired to move and his reflexes had decreased significantly over the last few days, he would probably just be a dead weight.
