Chapter 1 - New Life

4:30 pm

"Wake up you sleepy head"

A gentle tug shook you up from your slumber, despite your eyes being reluctant to open.

"Don't you want to get out of here after all these hours?"

The female voice kept calling, hiding a tip of impatience behind, but still, your eyes didn't open as a light smile tugged at your lips trying to resist.

"(Y/N), i know you are awake. Even a blind person could see that sneaky little smile"

Another tug shook your shoulder which eventually prevailed on your will.
Finally your eyes opened immediately glancing at the figure beside your seat

"Uff.. mom i can't even pull a prank on you anymore?"

You frowned bringing both hands to the eyes in order to rub them and get free from that blurry vision

"Well then, if you want to stay in the car, you may. Just don't get the seats dirty with food, like you always do"

You looked at your mother for a few seconds before rolling the eyes, not finding a better comeback.

"I just hoped you could carry my sleepy self in my new room, like you and dad used to when i was a child"

You sighed pretending to be hurt just for your mother to shake her head

"If you were trying to avoid chores like that, then you failed. Now help me get the stuff out the car before i'll kick your sleepy butt out"

Your mother smiled, being hers a joke. Luckily you and her always got along

"Geez man. I wasn't avoiding anything"

With that you got out the car, being welcomed outside by your new home.

Fazbear City was your new dwelling, curious name for a town but you hoped it was as good as the one you used to live before.

Once it was all done and tidy along the furniture that eventually came with the truck, you looked at your mother with a pleased look on your face

"See? Told ya i wasn't avoiding tidying up"

You chuckled, placing both hands on the hips waiting for a response from the woman who was glancing satisfied at the now welcoming environment of the living room

"You better be. Now that your father is temporarily away for work, i have to manage everything by myself.. Then a little help from you wouldn't hurt"

You nodded quickly, eventually turning your back to leave the room and head towards the front door

"Yes sir. By the way, mom, i'm going to have a little walk around and.. y'know, this"

Before you could reach the door, your mother stopped you by the shoulder

"Wait a minute miss, i will let you go but you have to promise to keep me updated and to be back at 8 pm for dinner, not any minute later. Clear?"

"Crystal clear. Don't worry tho, i'll be just seeing around here. I'll have my phone with me"

A sigh left the lips as you opened the door, hoping that it passed unnoticed. You weren't frustrated, but at times rules were too strict, especially when dad was away for work.

Fazbear city didn't seem such a dangerous place, on the opposite, it was quiet and full of efficient services.

The university wasn't too far from home and it was even easy to reach it by feet, now that you knew where it exactly was.

It was a nice trip around, even the neighborhood seemed quiet and nice, where people seemed to mind their business.

You were sat now on a bench, looking at the surroundings with interest when the phone buzzed in your pocket.

A long sigh escaped you in irritation, for sure mom had texted you to know were you were by now but, for your surprise, the screen displayed just a irrelevant notification from an app.

"Well, it's 7:20 pm i should head back anyway"

You pointed out at yourself once you took notice of the time, standing up from the bench ready to head back home.

At least you couldn't give your mother an excuse to tell you off. For now.
