Kylies POV

Flashback

He kept hitting me calling me, "stupid little girl!" Then he turned to my mom and smacked her face. Tears were forming on her face, but she never spoke up, never said a word. He yelled, " I never want to see either of you ever again." With that, he turned around out the door, slamming it as he went. I never did see him again.

I woke up with a start. My dad had left when I was five. He was an alcoholic, abusive father. He had been treating me like trash ever since I was born, and my mom didn't know how to control him. My dad left behind everything, his clothes still in the closet, his work papers still in his office. All he took was a jacket and his wallet. I never can forget that day.

My mom never really talked about him after that. She loved me though, and wanted me to be as normal as I could. We moved to a small house in Minnesota when I turned six. She had found a fairly good job as a surgeon. It was enough to have a 3 bedroom house, with two bathrooms. Then we moved again. We moved around a lot, just me and her, and I didn't mind. Whenever we went somewhere new, I would go to a public school, where I would make 3 or 4 friends, but not close enough to me where I would miss them when I moved away again. We had moved about 27 times at age 6 to 16. Today, we were moving away again to Ontario, Canada.

A fresh new start, where no one will recognize me. Where I may be able to escape from my past.
