When Maddie wakes up she is in her brothers bed. The officer carried her to the apartment room. She shuffled around still tired lying in her brothers bed for a moment... Then heard a man man suddenly started rapidly banging at the door yelling
"JACK Jack?? Jack are you in there "
it almost sounded like there was more than one person knocking. She walked to the door and opened the door softly. "What" answered Maddie angrily
"YOUR NOT JACK!!! WHERE IS JACK??" Said a man very fast
"Ja-Jack isn't here any more..."
"YOUR LYING DONT MAKE ME MAKE YOU TELL ME WHERE IS"
Another man about 6-foot 5 with a baseball bat came up behind him and looked at Maddie in a way Maddie couldn't under stand. His facial expression had a mix of happy sad and angry. It was clear they where on some sort of drugs and wouldn't take any chances... so she cooperated.
"Jack is dead" Maddie told them
The first man stared at Maddie with one eyebrow raised. They sat there starring and then finally said
"OK"
And left... Maddie thought those where probably the men Jack was doing drug deals with. Maddie shut the door and went straight back to bed. later that night she woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. All night she was thinking Jack Jack Jack Jack... Then suddenly she heard a window break and got up fastly and looked to see what it was. she opened the door and went out the room and immediately the same man from earlier grabbed her mouth so she couldn't scream for help and put a knife to her neck larger than her whole hand. Maddie stood pale looking at the knife. The man finally spoke
"You are gonna tell me what really happened to Jack... and if you don't"
And tear ran down from maddie's cheek and touched the man's hand. The man smiled and took Maddie and sat her down on a chair and duck taped her hands to a chair. Just as Maddie was about to scream the man put a piece of duck tape on her mouth
"Uh uh shhhhhh baby" the man whispered
The man pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and put them on and punched Maddie so hard the duck tape came off and her back molar came flying out and hit the ground. Maddie looked down to make it seem like she was knocked out. the man made it seem like he was about to punch her again she flinched and whimpered
"I thought so...Are you gonna tell me where Jack went?!?" the man asked
"I told you he's dead he was shot"
" LIER"
The man punched her again
"I'm coming back tomorrow, and if you tell anyone that I was here I will come here again and kill you!!" The man yelled. The man went and climbed out the window and ran down the block. Maddie struggled to get out but eventually got out and went and lied on her bed and didn't sleep for rest of the night. Mostly because of the pain of her tooth being knocked out. Maddie stared at the ceiling for hours until about 12:00 noon purely from shock. She stared just until she hear more knocking at her door. Maddie slowly got up and cautiously opened the door and saw the same officer from questioning.
" We need you to come down for more questioning "
Maddie shook her head and walked out with him and got in into his car and went to the LAPD. When she got there and into the questioning room the man starting asking more questions like
"What was your brother like"
and
"why do you think he was killed "
Maddie only answered with yes no or shoulder shrug. The man soon notice he tooth was missing.
"Hey what happened to your tooth?"
Maddie looked him directly in the eye and sternly said
"Accidents happen"
Then smiled...
