The story starts two weeks since Finn and Jack's grandfather died and since Finn's stopped contacting Val.
There will be flashbacks, though. To show the happy moments between Finn and Val. Enjoy! :)))

CHAPTER 1- What now?
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Finn's P.O.V.
"Hey, cutie. You wanted a dance?" said some blond girl with dark, green eyes. She was wearing black, lace lingerie and...well, that's all she was wearing.
I was seated with my legs apart on sofa side-by-side identical ones. Mine was situated at the far right corner of the strip club I was at. The blond was giving me a lap dance;it was all good.
There was this thought nagging me in the back of my subconscious though, telling me this was wrong. But I pushed it away. I mean, what's so wrong with this? A lot of guys get lap dances, what was so wrong with me getting one? Never mind. I should just focus on this blonde.
"Okay, babe, that's it for me." the blonde snapped me out of my thoughts.
No, no, I wasn't even paying attention! "No! Can't I pay for another 5 minutes?" I asked.
"Sorry, hun, you're time's up." she said, walking away to a secluded room at the back of the club.
I groan, stand up and walk out the club, exasperated. Debating on whether I should file a complaint about the situation or just head on home, I find myself choosing the latter.
I arrive at the inn I'm staying at. It was just this small, rather modern cabin on an open field. Heading to the door and inserting my key in the lock, I twisted the stainless steel doorknob and walked in. The room was just the right size - big enough to fit a bed, dresser, T.V., a bedside table, a small trashcan, and a tall mirror. And it had an en-suite.
Pulling open the dresser, I change out of my navy blue shirt and khaki shorts. I didn't bother to take a shower because I was just living by myself; with no one to please. As I plop onto my bed with a gentle squeak from the springs below the mattress, I noticed a little white envelope peeking out from the under my door. I don't know how I didn't notice before, but I notice now.
I groggily walk to the door and pick up the envelope. Flipping it open, I noticed two folded papers inside. I choose to read the one further back.
'Finn, the other folded paper is from Valerie, it came in the mail for you this morning, but I wanted to write to you too so I put in my own letter. I know you're going to pick this one first by instinct because, well, because I'm your twin and I know things. You've got to stop hiding. Mom, Dad, Emmy, and I miss you. And so do Val, Caspar, Louis, Dan, and a lot more. It's been two weeks since granpa died, to be honest I haven't quite moved on myself, but we're going to have to face the truth sooner or later, he's gone. And he wouldn't like what you're doing Finn - shutting the world out and pretending the everything's fine. Because everything's not fine! I understand that you need time to make sense of things but there are people who need you, mate. I need you; Valerie needs you; Mom and Dad need you; your freaking little sister needs you! I can't keep doing this, Finn. I can't keep lying to everyone about where I'm going when I send you your mail. I can't keep hiding my knowledge about where you are, it's driving me insane. You have to grow up and stop being selfish, Finn. I mean that with utter respect.
Love, Jack"
Jack. My brother, Jack. Mom, Dad... My sister. And, Valerie? My memory turns hazy at the name. I decide to read the other letter tomorrow. Laying back down on the bed and putting the letters on the bedside table, I thought about the name that kept popping up in Jack's letter. Valerie. Valerie.
Never mind that, I'll think about it tomorrow. Now to get some shut-eye. As I close my eyes, wild little groups of light seep into my view. And from that comes an image. It took me a while to realize that my brain was pulling back a memory from the back of my mind. But I was too tired and worn out to put it back in its place. So I let it take over my head and drift me into a deep sleep.
*Flashback*
Giggling. I heard giggling. A girl's, that is.
"Come on, Finny. I wanna go to the park" a girl's voice filled my head, and more giggling.
"Alright, Val, we'll go to the park. Just as soon as I finish these last few sentences." I heard myself say. I can see that I'm in front of a laptop, typing. I turn my head and see a beautiful girl - probably 19-years-old - standing in front of me. She had long, jet black hair; fair, almost porcelain skin; deep, dark brown eyes; and an hourglass figure that most girls would kill for. I remember her as Valerie Collins, I'm guessing he was the one Jack was talking about.
"I can help you with that later. Right now, I have to fulfill a mission - to go to the park and let loose! Now let's go!" she said with what seemed like every ounce of happiness she had in her system. She was all giddy and bouncing. I guessed it was some time during Christmas because we were both wearing about 3 layers of clothing.
"Okay, okay. Let's go, then. But just for 15 minutes, no more, no less. Deal?" I asked, pointing a finger at her.
She jumped up and hugged my now standing form. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" she said
Hugging back, I kissed her on the forehead. "Anything for my, cheeky little girlfriend." I said, slightly squeezing her.
With that, she gently got out of my arms and ran to open the door, gesturing me to follow suit. I smiled and shook my head at how silly she is.
*End of flashback*
I felt something I haven't felt for a while, even in my sleep. Love. But pushing that feeling aside like how I pushed everything and everyone else aside for the past two weeks, I drifted to a dreamless sleep.
