Chapter 1: The Curse

Chapter 1

Once upon a time there was a girl named Colleen, everybody called her Collie. Collie's mom and dad died 13 years ago when she was 5 ever since she has lived with her evil step mother and her twin brother and sister Connie and Colin. When Collie first moved into her stepmothers house her step mother Linda put a spell on her that stated," Colleen will never leave this castle as long as I live". When Collie was just 7 years old she tried to go outside and as she walked through the door a force field followed her everywhere she went and has followed her till this very moment.

When Linda told Collie to do her schoolwork she laughed and teased her that she would never be a normal girl and would never have the chance to be normal because Linda put a spell on herself saying she will have immortal life. On May 23 1987 Linda's 37th birthday she decided that today was the day today was the day that she would break the spell not by killing her but by showing her it was time for the curse to be lifted, showing her that she could be trusted to live a normal life as her brother and sister.

Collie went to Linda and said " mother is it possible that we could lift my curse I believe that I am ready" with a slit chuckle Linda says " if you can bring me everything on this list in 2 hours I will lift your curse but don't be surprised if you can't find everything, it's almost impossible " laughing again. "Mother" says Collie " this is almost I'm possible how am I supposed to find 19 things in two hours". " that's my point" she says forcefully " you won't and your curse will never be lifted" Collie goes off and cries, she thinks about the long list and how she will be stuck in a castle forever.

" Collie" Linda calls from down the hall, " it's time for your hunt to begin". "Ok" she yells back down the hallway and hurries into her most comfortable outfit. A nice blue and white dress with orange shoes and a white cardigan. As she walks down the hallway she starts to feel different she notices that there is no force around her, her curse has been lifted for two hours and five minutes for instruction time, she is so happy happier than she has ever been. When she reaches her mothers room Linda says " you have two hours to find everything on this list and if you don't the curse will not be lifted. And you will be the house maid for three months". Confidently she says " I'm ready" Collie reads the list

1 a pair of dirty socks

5 one happy birthday sign

8 a picture of a rainbow

9 17 bay leaves ( green )

17 a key chain that say I Luv Linda

18 a silver watch

19 a leprechaun

"How am I supposed to find all of this in two hours my curse will never be lifted" she say becoming discouraged.
