I waved to Dean as I walked onto his front porch and to the sidewalk. He closed the door and I heard him yell for his brother.
Crap, I think he was in there the whole time? I kept walking down the cracked sidewalk, watching the sun set in front of me. It was beautiful. The different pinks and oranges seemed to melt into eachother. The clouds swirled into the bliss of colour making the sky even more wonderful than it already was. I sighed. The sun slowly sank underneath the horizon just as I was getting to my house. The moon crept high into the sky, illuminating everything in its wake. Stars twinkled and airplanes flew up ahead.

I walked up to my front door, slowly opening it not to make any noise. Heaven knows what Michael and Uriel would do if they found out I was skipping school and hanging out with someone I had just met past curfew.

But there they were. Standing just ahead of the door, watching me as I shuffled into the house. They weren't happy. Uriel always looked mad to begin with, so when we was mad, it was obvious. His fists were balled up at his sides and his jaw was clenched. I was in trouble.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Shouted Michael "Do you know what time it is? Do you know how worried we've been?" He stepped closer. I tried to back up but the door was directly behind me. He took one step closer so that he was only a foot away from me.

"I'm sorry I- I- lost track of time..." I stutter. I knew what was coming next.

"Did you also lose track of time when you skipped half of your classes on your first day of school?" He yelled. His arm came up and slapped me hard across the face. It knocked me over a bit and I slid down the door, with my hand holding my cheek. Tears stung in my eyes and I tried to blink them away. My face hurt.

"I'm sor-ry, Michael." I mutter.

"Sorry doesn't mean anything to me, and you know that. Do you want to end up like your brother?" Lucifer, my second oldest brother, whom I'm not allowed to talk to anymore, got kicked out of the house by Michael. To quote Michael, "I won't have any faggots in this house as long as I'm here." I loved my brother dearly, but I didn't want to end up like him.

Before I knew it, Michael was kicking me hard in the stomach. I was laying down on my side trying desperately to avoid getting kicked by curling up into a ball. I didn't work.

He kicked one last time, except this time, it was directly to my face. I heard a crack and pain spread from my nose all the way across my face. Tears formed in my eyes and rolled down my cheeks. No, you can't cry, he'll think you're weak. I think as I hold my nose, blood filling the inside of my hands. But I can't take this anymore. I reply to myself. I slowly tried getting up, but my legs gave out. I grunted as I sat up against the wall. My stomach was on fire and there was blood all over my clothes. I noticed that Uriel had left. He never liked it when Michael beat us, but nothing stopped Michael. Ever.

"Go get cleaned up for dinner." Michael snarled, and walked away, leaving me a mess. I didn't want to stay there. I couldn't stay there any longer. I had no close family, and I had no friends. Dean. I think as I look at my bloodied hand. I search through my pockets to find my phone and when I do I quickly type his number. I try once again to get up off of the floor. Using the wall for support I slowly creak the door open and close it quietly behind me. My nose was still bleeding, but I stopped trying to clean it up. I could taste it in my mouth. In the distance I heard an engine chug down the street. My vision starts to get blurry and my head is pounding. I see a black impala stop in front of my house and a man climb out of the front seat.

"Dean." Is the only thing I say before I collapse and my vision goes black.
