His hands yanked down the pale grey beanie resting on his head, threatening to fly off due to the fierce wind surrounding him. Snow swirled around in the air, the wind and snow combining making the cold sting the boys eyes; The coldness of the atmosphere matching his icy blue orbs.
The boy trudged down the street, his vans making small footprints into the snow that had settled on the pavement. He bowed his head slightly to shelter from the storm, burrowing half of his face into the soft and warm material of his scarf.
The snow piled at his feet as he walked, soaking ever so slightly into his shoes, causing the boy to shiver from the sudden cold feeling.
As he lifted his head slightly to look around, a stray piece of brown hair came loose from his beanie and rested on his nose.
He quickly reached up to put the hair back in place but a small light caught his eye. To the left of him, a small coffee shop lay tucked away at the end of the street. Warm light radiating from the windows, lighting up the gloomy street, the light peeking out from behind some beige blinds covering the windows. A sign hung from above the shop, swaying in the wind. "Smile. There's Coffee" written in swirly writing with a small smiley face underneath.
The boy was intrigued by the little shop, he rushed towards the building, his body willing him to shelter from the storm. He tumbled into the coffee shop, letting out a sigh of relief as the warm air hit is face.
His chin lifted and his eyes scanned wildly around the small room. The boy smiled, the shop was certainly cosy. Warm white fairy lights hung from the walls providing a soft glow to the tables and chairs below. Plump grey sofas were dotted round the room, each one with a small table to match. A candle lay flickering away on each table, the wax melting and tipping over the edge. The boy breathed in the heavenly smell of vanilla and coffee, his eyes closing as he hummed in content.
He had been too mesmerised by the beauty of the shop to notice the curly haired boy staring intently at him from behind the counter.
The two boys eyes met. Pale blue eyes of ocean and sky looking straight into a jungle of emerald and jade green. They stayed like this for a while, trying to read each other's thoughts, both too lost in the beauty of each other to do anything but stare. The room remained quiet, the only noise being a faint buzz coming from the coffee machine.
The curly haired boy coughed awkwardly breaking the trance between them. "May I help you at all, anything I can get you?" A pale blush rising to his cheeks, his eyes dropping towards the ground, hiding his face from the other boy.
"What's your name?" The blue eyed boy asked, cocking his head to the side, not able to take his eyes of the boy in front of him. The boy looked young, maybe 16 or 17. A mop of curls covered his head, chocolate brown in colour, contrasting beautifully with his stunning green eyes, vibrant and sparkling green...Not the kind of green you see in swamps or trees but bright, fascinating, emerald green eyes, leaving him utterly breathless and stuck for words.
"Ha-Ha-rry, sorry I mean Harry, sor-sorry" Harry stuttered out, an even brighter shade of pink covering his cheeks, he moved from foot to foot awkwardly, trying to stop the swarm of butterflies consuming him. He finally looked up to meet the other boys gaze.
"Louis. My Name is Louis."
