Chapter 1

Riley's POV:

I'm waiting downstairs in the kitchen because my mom and dad said they have to talk to me.

I'm moving schools! I'm so happy.

James's POV:

"Hey bro, what's up?" Eldon says to me at our lockers.

"Nothing much," I reply casually.

West walks over to us.

"Hey, ya know there's a new girl coming to our school," West says, "you gonna go for her?" He gives me a smirk.

"Don't even worry about it."

Riley's POV:

I'm so excited but nervous. I'm just hoping the people likes me. I'm just about to go to school.

10 minutes later...

I'm now at the school and all the people are watching me as I go straight into the office. There's a woman there, who is probably the principal, and she's typing on a computer. She sees me and looks up from her computer.

"Hello, can I help you?"

"Hi I'm Riley Raymond. My mom's name is Evelyn Raymond; she signed me up here." I say.

She starts typing again and she nods slightly after a few moments.

"Okay Riley, your locker number is 4053 and here's your locker password," the woman says, handing me a paper, "oh and my name is Miss Maxwell--you can call me Miss M."

"Thank you, Miss M," I give her a small smile and I walk out of the office.

The people start staring at me again, especially some boys.

James' POV:

I swear I just saw the girl of my dreams! It's the new girl. She's so hot!
So I decide to go to the office to make Miss Maxwell let me show Riley around.

Thankfully, she agrees but I can see she looked suspicious. I get it, I never show people around.

She is a soft person I can see. She is shy too, but not that bad.

"So Riley what grade are you?" I try to start a conversation when we reach her locker.

"I'm grade 10 and 16 years old." Riley says, looking at the ground.

Riley's POV:

A loud bell rings loudly through the school. Everyone rushes to their class.

"Sorry, I have to go to class," James says, and he rushes to his class.

"Thanks for the tour!" I try to call to him, but he already left.
