The necklace

Little Lucy Heartfilia sat on the edge of the playground crying, a new boy, Drew, had been bullying her... He broke the chain on her favorite necklace and she couldn't fix it.

Natsu noticed his best friend crying and ran to her, "What's wrong Lucy?" He asked the blonde worriedly. Lucy showed the pinkette the broken necklace, "Drew broke it, and now I can't fix it..." She sniffled. Natsu smiled and took the necklace from Lucy, "I can fix it! No problem!" He said with a smile. "R-really!" The small blonde exclaimed as the small pinkette nodded. "Like this!" He said smiling as he made a small flame on his finger and mended the chain. "Here you go!" He said as he put it back on her neck and Lucy smiled. "Thank you Natsu!" She said smiling and planted a small kiss on the pinkette's cheek. Natsu blushed and smiled. "Here, you keep it! That way when we get older when we meet again, we can marry!" The blonde said smiling and took the key designed necklace off and gave it to Natsu. "Yeah!" Natsu said smiling as he gave Lucy a kiss on the cheek and another necklace with a flame design. The blonde blushed and smiled, she put it on, and they held hands.

That was so long ago... Thought a certain blonde as she bit the end of her pencil, I wonder were he is... And the prince is coming today...
She held the flame designed necklace in her pal then hid it back under her shirt, oh how she missed that pinkette...

Prince Natsu felt very sick... He was in a carriage on the way to Fiore, he had motion sickness... He held the key shaped necklace close, it helped him feel better... He wondered if the certain blonde even remembers him... That's silly! How could be so serious about something like that... He couldn't even remember her name... But her eyes... They were so beautiful... He sighed as the carriage came to a stop.

Lucy walked out of her school to go to the parade for the prince, she saw a certain carriage... Maybe the prince! She thought and started towards it. But sadly, one of the girls from her class tripped her as the prince came out... The most embarrassing thing happened, she tripped on the prince! And worst in the process her necklace fell off! "Hey are you ok?" The pink haired prince said catching her... Was that Natsu?! No way... It isn't possible... Father told me he died in an accident... But father was one for lies... "Y-yes b-but I dropped my necklace!" Lucy exclaimed, looking into his eyes.

Natsu noticed how pretty those brown orbs were... After all he was supposed to find a wife at the parade today... Hey she mentioned a necklace! "What does it look like?" The pinkette asked the blonde who had started to look around frantically. "I-it was a necklace with a flame design on it! I got from a very special person when I was smaller! I can't lose it!" She said and then looked back at me. "My apologies... My name is Lucy, Lucy Heartfilia." She said and held out her hand smiling. That was the girls name! It had to be! But... His mother told him that Lucy was dead... Natsu gently grabbed her hand and kissed it, "Natsu... Prince Natsu." He said smiling.

Lucy couldn't believe it, was this her Natsu?! No... "Is this it?" The prince said holding a flame designed necklace, looking pretty surprised himself. "Y-yes" she said and took it and put it around her neck. She had to ask now or never... "Excuse me... I know this is rude, but do you have a necklace also? One of a key?" The blonde said quietly.

Natsu couldn't believe what the blonde just said, it had to be her... She had a flame designed necklace... "Yeah... I do..." He said and took the key necklace from under his shirt. The blonde eyes sparkled, "N-Natsu... Natsu Dragneel... You really are alive! Father told me you were dead!" She said and suddenly hugged the pinkette. "Lucy... Remember?" He said with a spark of hope. The blonde nodded and was teary eyed, "You fixed my necklace when Drew broke it... Then you got in trouble the next day for giving him a black eye!" She said laughing and soon Natsu joined in. "It seems both of our parents lied, I was depressed for months!" He said and picked her up. The blonde laughed as the pinkette put her back down. "I missed you so much!" Lucy said and hugged him. "Hey Luce... Are you keeping that promise we made long ago?" Natsu asked and Lucy knew. "Yes!" She said and kissed him.

Lucy agreed to marry Natsu like promised so long ago, if it hadn't been for Drew breaking her necklace, they wouldn't of made that promise. 💐
