The sun shined in my eyes, I fluttered my eyes open. Blake had pulled over in a lot and was sleeping, I smiled. I yawned, I wasn't hungry, but was thirsty. I looked in that back and grabbed a water bottle.
Blake was curled up in a ball, he had put his jacket on me, he finally awoke.
"morning" he said in a groggily voice, with a weak smile.
"So is your dad mad you left?" I asked, he laughed.
"He really could give two shits," he said, he leaned back stretching.
"Want me to drive?" I asked
"Not really, plus we are gonna meet up with my friend that lives about three hours away so we've got a trip ahead of us," he said, I glared.
"Great," I said in a sarcastic tone.
He started the car up, and I took a look at my cd's. I had mostly cd's I had made, with different tracks. I put one in and it played a tune from the weeknd.
"you have shitty taste in music," Blake complained
"shut the fuck up," I said, he laughed.
"so I'm probably gonna stop at the nearest gas station so it'd be a good time to call whoever, only request is don't tell them where we are," he said, I nodded, I wasn't going to anyways.
I opened my window and let my hand out, as Blake drove fast. The air on my skin felt normal, like as if I was normal for once, but I sunk into reality, I'd never be normal.
-gas station-
I went to the pay phone and first called my brother, he answer.
"Hello?" he asked.
"Hey it's me del-"
"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU DELILAH!" he yelled through the phone.
"I can't really tell you but I'm safe I promise," I told him, in a calming voice.
"With who?" he asked, concerned.
"Blake," I didn't even need to say his last name for him to know who he was.
"No, no, tell me where you are right now," he said
"I'm safe I promise, I love you, I'll call you when I find a phone next," I said, trying to end this conversation.
"What do you mean, you have a perfectly good phone," he said, I gritted my teeth.
"Nope not anymore goodbye," I hung up before he could say more and called Bridget.
"Who is this?" she asked
"Delilah, hey I'm fine," I said.
"Oh my god, come back now please, you can't just drop everything and leave Delilah, we only have today left for school and we graduate," she pleaded, already crying on the phone.
"I can't I'm sorry, if anything I'll finish high school with were I'm at, with Blake, you guys could have came," I told her, she groaned.
"the only fucking reason he is there is because he wants to fuck you, you're fucking idiot ugh," she complained.
"Fuck you," and I hung up, not regretting anything. I sat down leaning against the building and started crying.
"Hey, what the fuck happened?" I heard Blake, he had my tooth brush and some clothes for me. I got them and went to the bathroom in the gas station. He had got me leggings and a sweater. I put my hair in a pony tail, and washed my face. I brushed my teeth finally and headed outside and met back in the car.
He gave me some food, it was bagel with cream cheese.
"What happened?" he asked, while driving.
"You'll get offended if I tell you," I told him.
"People say a lot of shit and I'm still not offended by any of it," he told me
"Bridget said the only reason you came was so you could fuck me," I told him
"not entirely true," he told me, I glared and smacked him.
"I'm kidding chill, I came because you needed me," he said
-at Blake's friends place-
Once we got there, Blake rolled a blunt. He took out his lighter and lit it, the light shinning in mostly dark.
He took a puff, then he passed it towards me and took it in. Then friend took a dab, we passed around, forgetting how many inhales I had taken. When I was high and I couldn't stop smiling.
Then I knew, the best was to come on this trip.
