So as you most likely don't know, I really love youtubers. My favorites would include Dan, Phil, Smosh, Shane Dawson and Ryan Higa. On occasion I'd watch some videos by a YouTuber named Joey Graceffa. A while back he had posted a music video called "Don't wait" and something compelled me to watch it. So I did and he came out as gay in the end. The video (obviously) made me cry in the end because they were so cute together and I'm only (Very) slightly jealous.
And so I watched the video again and focused on the lyrics this time. He had really done a fantastic job with them and there are several lines that I find comfort in."I'll be your compass so you'll never feel alone"
This line really makes me belive that I'm not alone. It really reminds me that other people feel my struggle and that there are other transgender people out there feeling the same thing.
"When you let the past go, your story unfolds"
This spoke to me on a deeply personal level. When I first realized I am trans, I used to say to myself "Well you've always been a girl so what gives you the right to change now?" So by letting the past go I was really able to accept and love myself, which was hard and I'm still working diligently on to this day.
