When I first watched the music video for Taylor Swift's Bad Blood, I decided I really wanted to do a girl team up story. I mean, I love the guys (and I haven't gotten to spend as much time as I want with Loa yet). But I just want to see Thalia fighting side by side with Lorna, Mia, and Mikayla.
I also realized that all the villains I've introduced so far (besides Genevieve, who's sort of a minor villain) have been men. I really wanted a powerful woman stirring up some trouble. I'd had an idea for Siryn, the antagonist of this book, in my head for awhile. The ideas started coming together and Vex was born. I hope you like it!
