Hurts like heaven

You gave me your word,
Let me take your broken heart,
Fixed it with mine,
Traded hearts and intertwined,
The moment your lips touched mine,
It was heaven at the time,
Soon I've come to realize,
You are as cold as ice,
Like a thief caught twice,
I can't believe in your lies,
That hide behind your snake eyes,
I feel both blessed and cursed,
To have a heart that's ever yours,
Only to be hurt until never more,
For a love this one sided,
My conscience has stridden,
It's like being eaten by depression,
Only I would say, it hurts like heaven.
