The Trouble with Girls

Chapter 2

Emma's POV: Josh was cute. But I don't know. I didn't really think he would like me. We had been best friends since like third grade. And I think he likes Heather any way. I wonder if Tristan knows. He would kill Josh if he knew. And I see the way Josh exchanges glances with Kassy. Maybe he likes her. I think too much. Goshh. 

There it was again. The glances between Kassy, Heather and Josh. Then Josh got up and sat next to me at our table. "So hey. Uhm me and the guys were gonna go to the beach later. You wanna come. Kas and Heather are gonna come." Heather rolled her eyes. "Josh is totally gonna be third wheeling on us if you don't!" She was truly a horrible actress. So this is what those looks were for. "So like a- a date?" I said trying so hard not to sound eager. Josh nodded and the girls smiled at me and made kissy faces at me from behind him. "Well, I guess." he cleared his throat all nervously. "Ok. Uhm cool." He was so cute when he was nervous.

Heather's POV: It was about time Josh manned up and asked Em out! He was FOREVER talking about her and making no effort to ask her out at all. And with school just getting out, Josh needed something to do during the summer, and so did Emma. "Well I hate to break up this party but we gotta get ready for later." I told the girls. As we got up, Kassy planted a kiss on Jimmy's cheek before making her way to our car, outside the restaurant. I gave Tristan a quick hug, and Emma just smiled and waved at Josh.

"Wear your coral suit." I told Em, as I grabbed it out out of her drawer. "Yeah! It looks good with your tan!" Kassy chimed in as she rubbed sun tan lotion on her arms. I went in Emma's bathroom and changed into my red suit and came out to show the girls. I spun around and raised my eyebrows. "Tristan's gonna love you." Was all Kassy said. Me and Em just laughed. Today would be fun.
