As I watched the emergency room carry out my sister's body as I cried with my finger nails digging into my face. My nail polish breaking as my hands squeezed tighter. I yelled, so loudly that even the paramedics were startled. I yelled until I felt a pop in my ear, probably my eardrum. Paramedics ran over, one young man approached me. "Ma'am' I know this is hard, but for the concentration of the paramedics please quite down." I looked up at him, you could tell the concern in his voice. I looked down and stopped yelling. I tried to grasp any ounce of breathe left that I possessed, through my crying. I stood up as the police began to investigate the scene. Lachlan had fled the scene before the police arrived. I didn't know what to do, my sister just died. What was I supposed to do? I would feel guilty if I showed any happiness over the past week. I looked over, the sword laid on the ground. Such a beautiful object used for such terror. I looked and saw a crest, it was a shield with a ribbon surrounding.

A week later, I didn't know what to do. Purposes of life fizzled away with the wind and I was left. My life was put on hold and yet, I felt as if this was permanent. My life was a ice skating ring and everyone else had skates, while I was left. No skates were left, I was left stumbling in place. I didn't see the purpose of anything, my life was nothing except the joy ride with big red lights, none green. Did I deserve this? No, no one deserved this. I just sat down all day, reading and surfing the internet. My ears adapted to the quite. I only heard the quiet sounds that one person could make. When I would dance my heart beat would be louder than any sound I could make now. I gave it all away, all my dancing. I didn't practice, for a month. My dreams, thrown down the trash, left to decay on the streets. I refused to listen to music, it brought back to many good memories. Memories I could never feel, experience, and enjoy. I sat quietly, my faucet across the room dripping slowly. My limbs became weak, as they occasionally do when I don't walk for a day. I couldn't get up, torture. A classic method used to drive people insane. Here I was, stuck to listen to the drops.

Suddenly I got a text from Choco. I grabbed my phone and responded. He asked to go on a hike with me. I didn't want to but I knew he would make me. He drove over to my house and arrived. He had a key to my house, he would always help me. When he arrived I heard the door open and he rushed up to my room. He went to turn of the faucet and walked over to my bed. He stroked his hand down my hair with a sigh. He began to help me get up, then I would gain more energy. He helped me up and left my room, he was waiting for me to change. I slipped on a quick outfit and ran outside. We got in his car and began to drive as I looked at the black sky. No stars could be seen under the coal array. As we passed by fences and light posts we finally reached a hidden trail on a road. As Choco opened the door for me, I walked out and began to walk. Choco slung his arm over my shoulder and we began to talk. We walked along the trail, our feet crushing rocks beneath us. Our breath was heard, quite honks fizzled away with the distance. We walked up, Choco was carrying a bag and we talked.

"How has it been?" He asked me as he grabbed my hand. I pulled away and became angry.

"I don't know. How do you think it has been?" I asked as my tone became frustrated. I began to walk with a tear streaming down my gentle face. I began to run, push past the dark trees and crushing autumn leaves. I saw a stream, and sat down on a steep rock. I then perched myself in front of the water and stared down. I saw my reflection and pushed it away. I ripped out a piece of seaweed that was connected to the rocky ground. When I pulled the seaweed out and a colony of fish swam out. They greased over my hand and swam away. I dipped my fingers into the water as the current went against my nails. Nothing could be heard.

I then heard a rustle in the trees and turned around, nothing was there. I then felt myself being tugged backwards. I yelled the loudest I had for a month. The more I tried to cry for help, the more air I lost. My hair flew into my vision and I was surrounded. My feet began to bleed because of the ridged ground they grassed over. I tried to swim up but I realized that my foot was stuck in seaweed. I tried yanking it out, the more I tried, the more energy I wasted. I knew it was over, and I was fine with that. White dots were dancing in my vision. Where was Choco?

Next I felt myself being grabbed and harshly yanked up. Someone was trying to save me. My foot was still stuck, and the more they yanked me, the more it was bleeding. I was grabbed by wet hands. The person finally jumped in to see what was the problem and saw my foot. The person untied my foot and pulled me out. I began to breathe heavily. I laid down for 20 minutes straight and finally caught my breath. I looked over to Choco, he had saved me. A smile perched on my lips as I thanked him. "Audrey, I am just glad you are ok." He said and he laid on top of me. He leaned into me and initiated a kiss. I pulled away, it was to soon. "Sorry." I sighed. "No problem." Choco awkwardly blurted out. I shivered in the cold so, being a gentleman he gave me his jacket. He covered it over me, it was a warm blanket. I saw a stain on the inside and ran my finger down the area. It was faded red, I looked at Choco. I pushed him of me and got up. "Choco?" I yelled as my voice began a crescendo into a yell. On instinct I reached into my pocket, it was a knife. I looked at it and saw a crest, it was a shield with a ribbon surrounding. The same crest... "Choco, this knife killed my sister."
