They hadn’t spoken in months. After the spark that they once shared had slowly died out, she didn’t quite know what she was going to say. She had been thinking about him a lot, she had seen other guys, since him, but as usual, it didn’t work out. Why she let him go she could never quite explain, not even to herself. The only half decent answer she could muster up was that he seemed, too perfect. And anything perfect is always to good to be true.
He was like no man she had ever met before, he was so far from being like any of those other assholes that she had spent hours and hours crying over, she wondered if they were crafted by the same god. He was porcelain. Fragile, and beautiful.
She had been given a chance today, to fix what she had broken, and she knew now, that he was the missing puzzle piece. She felt stupid that it took her so long to figure it out, and hoped that it wasn't too late.
She had tried her whole life to fill up the empty void inside herself with man after man, and they all made her feel good for a while. But that was just it. She had met Adam, for the first time, over 6 months ago, and even though, they were not together, every time she saw him, or even thought of him, she felt… good. She felt happy. And she dreamt every night of the first time she saw his face.
Tonight, they were in the same room, at the same event, and she had never felt so nervous and yet so motivated in her whole life. She scanned the room for his familiar face, and his concentrated eyes, always deep in thought. He was nowhere. Her heart sank. And she almost felt like crying. There was so much that she wanted to say to him, so much that she had to apologise for. She composed herself and swiftly made her way over to a door, avoiding contact with all the eyes that were watching her carefully, in the room that had seemed to have gotten 10 times bigger than when she had first walked in. She swung open the door, slammed it shut behind her and leant her forehead against it, still clutching onto the handle. She took a deep breath, and slowly spun around to examine the room around her. Her eyes grew wide as there, sitting bolt upright, in a deep navy chair, his, soft, light brown eyes fixated on her and his mouth shaped in a perfect 'O' was Adam.
‘Adam.’ She exclaimed it one short exasperated breath.
‘Taylor.’ He replied softly his eyes lighting up, and his mouth forming a mischievous smirk.
He stood up and gestured to the chair sitting just opposite to his, and smiled. Her heart raced, and it was so loud she was sure he could hear it.
The next few movements that she made seemed like a dreamy blur, and when her vision finally returned to normal, she was sitting, opposite him, with her legs touching his, gazing into his puzzled eyes.
‘How have you been..?’
He nudged the question, tilting his head a little as he waited for an answer.
‘Me? I’ve been just fine, how about you?’
She blushed as she brushed a blonde curl from out of her eyes. He chuckled lightly, immediately sensing her nerves.
‘I’ve been.. okay.. restless, no change there’ he replied
His eyes seemed to sparkle. She tried to take a discreet breath in, as it honestly seemed like she hadn’t breathed since setting eyes on him again. As she took the breath in, it was everything but discreet. Her tiny gasp for air suddenly filled the perfect silence. He reached out for her hand and slowly wrapped his fingers around hers.
‘Taylor.’ He soothed.
‘Adam listen.’ She cut him off.
‘That first night we met, I fell in love, but I was so afraid, I acted like I child, I ran away, I don't think I was ready for someone like you to come into my life, there hasn't been a night where I haven't laid there awake, thinking about you, and I just wish you knew how much I need you to be with me, I will never ever walk away from you again, I-I just feel so-'
Her words slowly died out and she stared at the ground. So afraid to look up, because she knew that everything she had said was just not enough. Words weren’t enough, to truly explain to him what he meant. He took his other hand, and ran in gently up the side of her face, lifting her head up to meet his loving gaze. He had a smile, on his gentle face, that made the butterflies in her stomach burst into life. His eyes were focused, and understanding. He stroked her cheek, and gently tucked a curl behind her ear, his other hand took her waist, and pulled her towards him, so that she was perched on the edge of her chair, her lower body resting in-between his legs, he leaned slowly, towards her, his hand still placed gently on her cheek, his sweet, warm breath, against her face. He tilted his head a little and their lips met. He slowly parted her lips with his and closed them gently around hers, exploring every crevice of her mouth with his, and keeping a steady motion. He playfully bit her lip, and with his tongue, parted her lips a little wider, as his hands moved down to her waist. She followed his motions, as he pressed his hard, masculine lips against her soft, plump ones. She gasped for air as he sped up, his lips glided smoothly over hers, back and forwards, left and right. Their lips were dancing playfully.
He slowly pulled away, still lingering closely; he stared deeply into her eyes.
‘You're enchanting.'
He smiled that quirky smile, the mischievous little lopsided one that she fell in love with, on that first captivating night that they met. She was completely dazed. He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her up onto his lap. This alarmed her, and she toppled on top of him, laughing as she went. He kissed her again, and stayed there, his lips pressed hard against hers and his eyes tightly closed, like he never wanted to let go. He pulled back again to look at her and sighed a deep, passionate sigh. He looked over her perfect figure, in her tight, pastel pink dress, and grinned. She was completely relaxed now, and they were breathing softly in time. She too was admiring his rugged masculine frame, and focused her gaze especially on his biceps. They bulged as he held her up. He was irresistible. And yet he was all hers.
