Prologue - The Woods

--------------------------------------------------

I climb a tree, and sit on a branch with my very best friend, Olivia. We giggle, calm down, and sit in silence for a minute or two. She speaks up, causing a robin to rustle in the branch just above us. Right when we thought it got quiet, BAM.

"I know you're coming to England soon." She stares at me, smiling. Those cute curly locks of chesnut blond hair surrounding her hair. Her smile, so sweet. She's British, and we are in the woods behind my house, as she stays for a week. She leaves later today at six, I leave tomorrow at eight in the morning.

"I know," I say, staring back at my two story house. I'm leaving because I found out a huge shocker. My dad got transferred to England being a stock producer for some major company. We're kind of rich and we will kind of be living near to a mansion. Only you, Dad, only you...could ever do this to me. I chuckle inside of my head. Thinking: Only him, only, only him.

"Olivia Mae? Oh there you guys are. Bye Abigail honey, see you tomorrow afternoon! Olivia. Come on. Don't ruin your shoes by falling. We have to leave in two hours so let's get going." Her mom calls up, in her wonderful, soothing, calm British accent. Olivia climbs a tiny branch down, hops off, scraping the side of her blue Puma's on the trunk. She turns to me, looks up, waves bye, and runs off to the car after her mother. I stay up for an hour, hop down, land crouching, hugging the grass in a hand grip. I walk inside.

I go upstairs to my room, stuff my clothes in a random box, and pull out pajamas as a replacement. I set my alarm on my phone, snuggle into my sleeping bag after turning off my light.
