The story is placed in beautiful Italy.
Living here are the two main characters--the rich, Alyssa Rosales Valdez and the sweetest with the most amazing smiles of all, Kent Marshall.
Alyssa is a pretty woman holding gazes of all types of men. Yet she is a 'one man woman' types. Not likely to get involved with jocks. Being 20, she lives on her own will. She is the dearest in her family..as she is the only daughter. This is the reason why she owns a spaniel..a cute cuddly spaniel who she named Shifu. Also she works in a day care centre part time to pass her little time with the kids. Kids surely love her. Alyssa is a like a second mother to those kids who are left to her by their parents to work their asses off.
Kent Marshall. Aged 21. A middle class boy respecting his status as a gift from God. He makes a whole out of what he has and what he gets. He also holds a heart crushing truth(which will be revealed in the latter part of the book). Poor fella lost his father in a plane crash, leaving him with his mother and his little sister, Karen. Living in Italy, her mother opened up a small café to earn a living and Kent ran errands for his mom. During this busy routine Karen is kept in day care.
Now what happens when they meet? How is the secret revealed? How far do they go together? This journey takes you through love, hurt, tears of sadness and tears of happiness.
