I arrive at the destination where Matt wanted to meet me. It's just a random vacant building. I hop out of the car and make my way over to the door. It's kind of creepy. I don't like being outside in the dark alone.

I reach the handle and quickly get inside. Even inside is creepy. I'm in an empty hallway. How am I suppose to find him in this huge building?

I hear a noise and I jump. My legs are shaking. "I should go home." I whisper so quietly that I can't even hear myself. I turn around and bump into something. I almost scream but I let out a sigh of relief when I see its Matt.

"You scared me." I laugh, nervously putting my hand on top of my heart. "Sorry." He says with a laugh. "So why did you want to meet me?" I ask.

"I thought you were cool. You're not like most of the other girls I meet."

"Oh." I laugh.

"I don't usually do this but can I give you my number?" He asks.

"Uh yea sure." I shuffle in my purse looking for my phone. I give it to him and he puts his number in.

"Please don't tell anyone my number." He says.

"What number?" I laugh.

"Thank you." He laughs too.

"Um I should go. My friend is at a hotel waiting for me to tell her I found a restaurant for us to eat at."

"You didn't tell her you were meeting me?" He asks.

"No. I figured you wouldn't want a bunch of girls finding you." I laugh.

"Thanks." He laughs. "There's a really good pizza place down the street."

"I'll be sure to take her there." I giggle.

"Are you sure you have to go?"

I stare into space for a few seconds. "She's binge watching Netflix. She probably doesn't even know I'm gone."

My phone buzzes. Avery.

Did you find a restaurant yet?

I show Matt my phone. "What do I say?"

"Uh say you found a friend from your childhood and you want to catch up." He says.

"Ooh good idea."

To: Avery 👑
I found one of my friends I've known since 2nd grade. I want to catch up with her. Is that okay?

She texts back almost instantly.

Oh yea that's fine. Haha have fun!

"Ready?" I ask Matt.

"Let's go." He says, smiling.

...

We went to the pizza place Matt told me about earlier. We got a medium pepperoni pizza. He got a coke to drink and I got a water with lemon.

"So have you met any of the other guys in magcon?" He asks.

"No. Just you." I laugh.

"Yay! Glad to be your first." We both laugh. "Do you want to meet any of them?"

"Well, I do love Jack and Jack's music." I say.

"They sing about the most random things." He laughs. "One time, we went to six flags and they sang about the roller coaster we were in line for. Everyone was staring at them."

"Do people ever come up to you and ask for pictures and stuff?"

"Oh yeah. All the time. I love making my fans happy." He says.

"What about hate?" I ask.

"Well I don't get a lot of hate in person. But when I'm behind a screen, I get a lot."

"You shouldn't." I say. He smiles.

"Let's take a selfie." He says.

"Okay." I laugh. I stand up and sit in the chair next to him as he holds the camera.

We both smile. He snaps a picture.

He sticks his tongue out and I hold up a peace sign. He snaps the picture.

He kisses my cheek and I open my mouth to make an "O" shape. He snaps the picture.

The waitress comes back with the check. 25 dollars. I take out my money. "Put that away." Matt says. "No." He demanded he paid.

We both agreed to each pay half.

I look at my phone. It's 10:00. "I should get going." I say.

"Okay."

"Make sure you send those to me!" I say.

"You have my number. Text me when you get to the hotel."

"Okay." I grab my keys and walk out of the restaurant.
