Third P.O.V.

"Kanan, can I go for a walk?" Ezra asked. Today was the birthday of his mother, and he wanted to visit her grave. "Sure, be back in ten minutes." Kanan answers and walks out of the room.

Kanan's P.O.V.

Somethings up with the kid. He's been acting all depressed lately, especially today. "Kanan, can I go for a walk?" Ezra asked me. I still can't believe she's gone, Ezra thinks as I read his mind. Who's gone? "Sure, be back in ten minutes." I say and walk out of the room. I'm going to follow him, but not be seen. I peek back out and see that he's not there, only walking away towards the fields. I follow him to a patch of green grass with a tombstone in the middle reading,"Here lies the best mommy in the galaxy".

I stare at the tombstone as tears began to spill. But then I sigh as I realize that I need to let this go, and a song came to mind.

"Let it go, Let it go, you only need the light when it's burning low. Let it go, let it go, you only miss the sun when it starts to snow. And here I stand, and here I stay. You only know you love her when you let her go. Oooh. The cold never bothered me anyway."

"Staring at the bottom of your glass, hoping one day, you'll make a dream last. But dreams come slow, and they go so fast." I close my eyes and try to get the tears to stop flowing, but to only see a picture of my mom and me. "See her when I close my eyes, maybe one day I'll understand why. But everything you touch surely dies. Don't let them in, don't let them see, be the good guy, you always have to be. Conceal don't feel, don't let them know-" I was cut off by Kanan hugging me, as I quickly hugged back. "Well, now I know." Kanan says as I sob in his shoulder. I looked up into his eyes and cried even more. "She's gone, Kanan..." I trail off and sob into his shoulder even more, before falling asleep next to him.
