The Bet

chapter 1 - first day of school

This was it. A new year at school and a new chance to get Bryce Anderson.

I smiled down at my mirror and examined my outfit, black tights, a clingy tight t - shirt that was quite revealing. And on my feet I had some cute ballet flats (I decided to lay off the heals. I didn't want to look TO trashy) this outfit was 100 times different than her usual outfits - a oversized t shirt jeans and sneakers.

"Bryce Anderson if THIS" I said as moving my hand up and down my body "doesn't get you to notice me I don't know what will" I smiled and grabbed my bag off my bed. I turned to examine my room, my open window was letting a slight breeze into my room, I had a simple desk to study on in the corner with a lamp. There was a makeup desk in other corner with a wide assortment of makeup which I had piled onto my face today. The bed was a double king and had a cream duvet laid on top. My walls match the cream colour of my duvet and I had a red rug in the middle of my room.

I turned around and flipped off my light and started walking down the stairs.

"Bye mum!!" I yelled through a piece of toast in my mouth. I seriously didn't want her to see me looking like this... She would have a melt down. Se wasn't exactly used to her daughter dressing like a hooker. But, I HAD to do this to get Bryce Andersons attention. I had tried everything else.

"Bye daddy" I said as I gently kissed his cheek. I wasn't worried about dad, I was daddy's little girl. "Bye bye Maria sweetie. don't let the boys harass you too much" he said without looking up from his morning paper.

"Sure thing daddy" I said as I grabbed my keys and ran to my cute Volkswagen, I jumped in and drove to school.

I arrived at school and parked my car. I hopped out immediately got stares from guys. Some of there mouths were literally hanging open. For a minute I got a bit uncomfortable. I mean, I'm a good girl! This is the first time I've ever don't something like this! But, I wanted Bryce SO badly I would do anything.

I flipped my hair back and walked confidently to the front gate.

I got some wolf whistles as I passed and I heard some people whispering "dude she is SMOKING" "is that Maria?! Maria Dawson??!!" "DAYUM"

I smugly smiled and turned to face them "how you all doing boys?" I said as I flipped my luscious blond hair over my shoulder. "Fine" they all replied. I was feeling a bit daring so I got my pencil case put of my bag and pulled out a pencil "whoops" I said as I dropped the pencil on the ground.

They all scurried to pick it up, I almost laughed at the predicament. I mean, it was ME, last year they couldn't even remember my name, or would be seen with me. Now, they were fighting over my pencil. Oh sweet irony. One guy who's name I think was David handed me my pencil shyly. "H - here ya go." He said with his head down. "Thanks" I said taking it from him.

The girls around us were all huffy not getting attention from the boys so I took a step back to walk away, but, as I did I got caught on something and tripped into someone's arms. No, not someone. But the most beautiful handsome amazing person in the universe. My principle! jk it was the one and only Bryce Anderson. My heart stopped. I had actually landed in his arms.

"Thanks" I stuttered straightening myself up. "No problem" he said as he smiled. His eyes quickly raked over my body - for a little to long for my liking.

"Your Maria Dawson aren't you?" He said finally looking up. "Yes" I replied quietly. "We'll, how would you like it if I walked you to class?" He said smiling. I had to restrain myself from yelling YESSSS OMFG YESS! And jumping on him. So instead I replied "oh sure" while giving him a cute smile.

"Great" he replied as he picked up my bag. "Oh! You don't have to do that!" I said quickly. He just laughed and said "well, it seems I'm your knight in shining armour, this is the least I can do other than slaying a dragon" I gave a small genuine laugh. The crowd of people who had been watching us slowly evaporated.

We walked up the steps and started walking along the corridor. "So what class you headed to?" He asked. "Biology" I replied shyly. "No way me too!!" He enthusiastically replied. Instead of replying with "oh yea I know!!!!! We've had it together for two years now! You sit at the to front row and I sit behind you staring at you head every lesson!!!!!" I replied with "oh cool". "How about you sit with me?" He asked. I stopped in the middle of the corridor. Omfg omfg omfg Bryce is asking me to sit with him!! I realised i had stopped for a while and Bryce was looking at me strangely "leave something behind?" He asked "oh! No aha just..needed a second" I replied stupidly. "So...how about it?" He said. "Huh?" I replied stupidly "oh right! I would love too!" I replied with a flirty smile. Good job Maria 10 points for the flirty smile. "Awsome" he breathed.

We arrived at the door of the class and he opened it for me "lady's first" he said with a flirty smile, "then why aren't you going in?" I replied. Oh dear lord, did that actually come out of my mouth?! Bruce was now laughing hysterically "your something else Maria" he said as the laughing died down. I quickly entered the classroom afraid I might say something more stupid.

We took our seats quietly. As we walked in we got some stares and whispering from people. I blushed and sit Down just as the teacher walked in "alright class today were learning about...blah blah blah" that was all I heard. Bryce was staring down at his notebook, I shivered slightly wish I brought a coat... Just as I thought that Bryce took off his jumper and rapped it around my shoulders and gave me a wink. I heard some girls gasp. Bruce leaned over to my ear "here' he said as he grabbed my hand "putit in my pocket it will keep you warm." I slid my hand into his pocket. AHHHHHHHHH! I thought I was going to explode from excitement.

"Alright class I've got am important announcement to make"
