Eren's POV
I woke up to the sun. The broken glass of my window scattered the light across the room, making intricate patterns on my floor. I pulled myself out of bed and looked in the mirror. "Fuck.." I whispered. Sometimes I'd forget what happened.. then I'd look in the mirror and see what I'd become.. what this world has become. I started to tear up as I heard a knock on my door. I wiped my eyes. "Hello?" I asked. I heard Levi's voice through the door. "Hey Eren. I just wanted to make sure you're awake. We've got stuff to do. Can I come in?" He asked. "Yeah." I replied. Levi walked in and came up to me. "Eren.. are you okay? It looks like you've been crying.. E-Eren.." He put his hand under my chin, lifting my face to make eye contact with him. "No.. I'm f-fine.." I relied, trying to hide the hoarse tone in my voice. "Shut up brat. I know you. I know when you're upset. I can tell." Levi told me. I looked into his eyes. He hugged me. And I started to cry. "It's just that this world.. what it's become.. what I've become.." I sobbed. "It's okay Eren. I know. But listen to me. I don't care what you've become or what you used to be. This world has gone to shit, and you are the only thing left that hasn't. I love you. So much. Please, don't cry... I love you.." Levi told me. I could hear it in his voice. he was starting to tear up too. "Don't let me upset you Levi.." I trailed off. Suddenly, Levi kissed me. I leaned into the kiss, and started to feel better. I love him so much. He means everything to me. If I ever lost him... I pulled away. "Levi. You have to stay alive. For me. For everyone. Even if I dont make it.. Please.." I said, choking on tears. "Okay. I promise, Eren. I promise..." I leaned in and kissed him again. His lips locked with mine, and moved together perfectly. It's like we were made for each other. I ran my fingers through his hair. I could hear my own heart beat speeding up. I felt safe with him. Like nothing could ever hurt me as long as we stayed like this. Levi gently bit my lip and left a trail of kisses down my neck. "I....love....you...so...much.." He whispered in between kisses. I felt his warm breath on my face as he made his way back up. Then, we were lying in bed, his hands interlocked with mine. Levi pulled away and took a breath. "Levi, do we have to leave today..? I want to stay here with you.. forever.." I said. "Maybe not forever.. but for today." He told me. I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder.
