Chapter 3

Toby's P.O.V

I needed to see Spencer. Tanner had been forcing me to choose between my job and Spencer, I hadn't seen her all week.

I walk up to her back door and knock on it five times hoping she would let me in. That's when I saw Veronica walking up to the door.

She opens the door, and she looks like she was crying, then she says to me, "Toby, is it true, did Spencer really kill Mona?"

I just stood there in shock not knowing what to say. Why would she be asking me this?

"Toby?" She asks seeing me standing like I'm a statue, "did you not know?"

"Know what?" I asked confused.

Veronica started bawling, "Spencer's been arrested for the murder of Mona Vanderwaal, did she do it?"

"What are you talking about?!?!" I practically screamed, "Spencer had nothing to do with this."

That's when I left to go down to the precinct to tell Tanner that Spencer had absolutely nothing to do with this, I know this because she was with me that night, that night we fought. I regret it, especially after letting Spencer walk away crying.
