Chapter 2

Oakpaw and crowpaw were waiting out the front of the cave.Oakpaw saw the clan coming in the horizon,crowpaw looked at Hollypaw in the front,she's so pretty he thought.Oakpaw looked at crowpaw and waved his tail at him,he didn't move,the brown Tom cat followed his gaze to Hollypaw,then back at him,"you know that she doesn't like you right?"he asked,crowpaw looked at and said"how would you know that?","because she tolled me",Oakpaw said."oh really?well then I will fight you for her if I have to"he said to Oakpaw challenging him,"all right then,"Oakpaw said as he got up and flexed his claws,"let's get this over and done with","ok then!"crowpaw said getting up and lashing his tail angrily.

Mosskit saw a boulder,and jumped up on to it,but she suddenly slipped,falling down,and hitting the ground with a little thud.Mosskit meowed out in pain"my paw!it hurts!",Hollypaw lifted her up and put her back down in a better position.Amberstar called out"willowtail!",willowtail ,the medicine cat, came bounding over with a leaf bag full of her herbs she put the leaf bag down ,"were does it hurt Mosskit?"she said gently,"my paw hurts"Mosskit whimpered.Willowtail felt around her paw,"you've broken your paw Mosskit,"Goldenfur ran over to her kit,she asked breathlessly "is she ok!?" to willowtail,"she's fine ,but she did break her paw",the med cat replied."oh my Mosskit!"she said turning to her.willowtail got some strong weed and tied it around her paw,keeping it a position,she put a stick in between the paw and weed to keep it straight,she had seen her mentor do this before,tears formed in her eyes at the memories of her mentor,blackcrow,she quickly turned away and wiped them away,then she turned back to the kit and her mother,"you can walk on it,and play,but take it easy,"Mosskit nodded"I will,and thank you willowtail,"willowtail smiled,and walked away with her leaf bag.

Meanwhile,crowpaw lunged at Oakpaw who side stepped it,and jumped on crowpaw,clawing him,lightly,crowpaw got up and said"that all you got?","no,but I don't want to hurt you,","well I do want to hurt you,even kill you!"he said,he pushed Oakpaw over,and jumped on him,biting his throat ,Oakpaw pushed him off,crowpaw lashed his claws at him,clawing his ear,blood dripped down oakpaws throat and ear,"I not going to hurt you,no matter what you do",crowpaw jumped at him pinning Oakpaw,he clawed his muzzle and then his cheek,Oakpaw pushed him off and got up,crowpaw bit his tail,but Oakpaw still didn't fight back,he battered at his legs,Oakpaw fell down,crowpaw was just about to finish him off,when Oakpaw lashed at him,pushing him off Oakpaw and then crowpaw batted at oakpaws head,Oakpaw grabbed a stick holding it up as defense,as he had no more energy,suddenly Hollypaw and the rest of the clan came into the clearing,Hollypaw saw crowpaw about to kill Oakpaw,she ran forward but she was too late,crowpaw jumped on him,intending to kill Oakpaw,but Oakpaw bashed him in the head with the stick,knocking crowpaw out,Oakpaw got up weakly dropping the stick and walked a step forward to Hollypaw,but fell.Hollypaw ran the rest of the way to were Oakpaw was laying down blood dripping down his neck and face,his tail was missing a couple of clumps of fur.Hollypaw called for the med cat who came running over,she looked at Oakpaw and then crowpaw.
