Step 1: Become Someone Else

To do what I promised I need to become someone else. The name Jauregui is too well known. So I created a new name. I created a new person. Arthea Ares. With that identity I will be returning to high school.

My first mission is to befriend my first victim's daughter. Alejandro Cabello: my first victim, head of Cabello industries, multimillionaire and my family's nemesis.

To seek my revenge I will start by gaining his daughter's trust. Karla Cabello: prefers being called Camila, shy, awkward and childish. It won't be that hard to get Camila to like me.

I parked my motor in front of the big building. The building I had finally left behind. I took a deep breath before entering and making my way to the principal's office to get my schedule. Principal Hamilton was also on my list. He was also one of the people I had to punish. Just not right now.

Derrick Hamilton: close friend of Alejandro Cabello, principal of Miami High School and secret drug dealer. Not secret enough though, I found that quite easily.

The man handed me my schedule and I made my way to my first class. Biology. I entered the classroom and was greeted by a very confused ms Williams.

"Hello, I'm Arthea Ares, the new student." I spoke and handed her a note the principal had written to excuse my tardiness.

Her eyes scanned the page. "Oh, yes, of course. You can take place in an empty seat." She announced and I nodded. My eyes landed on the one and only Karla Camila Cabello. To my luck the seat next to her wasn't taken and I quickly made my way to her.

"I hope you don't mind me sitting here." I whispered sweetly after I had dropped into the seat.

She looked up at me and gave me a sweet smile while shaking her head. "Definitely not. I'm Camila by the way." She replied and I smiled back at her.

"Arthea." I introduced myself.

We both turned out attention to ms Williams and I tried my best to focus on her ramblings about all kinds of plants and animals.

I was relieved when the bell rang. First period couldn't be more boring. I gathered all my stuff and put it back in my bag. "So where are you from?" Camila suddenly asked and I almost jumped in surprise.

"Uhmm I'm from Orlando." I lied and she nodded.

"Why are you here?" She threw another questions and I groaned internally. Good thing I had learned Arthea's background story.

I cleared my throat before speaking. "I didn't really have a choice in that matter. My parents passed away in a car crash and I had to move in with my grandma who lives here." I said in the saddest tone I possibly could.

Camila's expression changed to pitty. "I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" Her voice was filled with genuine worry. Something I hadn't received in a long time. For a second I felt guilty for lying to the girl who was walking next to me.

But I then remembered how my father had begged for me to do this. I remembered my father bleeding to death next to my mother's already dead body. "I'm fine." I answered and she gave me a sad smile.

"Are you sure?" She asked me caring. Deep down I was screaming that I wasn't okay, that I needed someone to hold me and allow me to cry but all I did was give her a smile and nodded. "So since you are new here I thought you could sit with me and my friends during lunch."

I almost felt bad for Camila. What her father had done wasn't her fault. I agreed to meet up for lunch later. We entered the next classroom and sat down next to each other. The teacher was already waiting so class started quickly.

I'm pretty sure I had already been in his class in my previous school but Mr Lewis didn't remember. Thank God.

The bell for lunch rang and Camila led me to the cafeteria. I followed her to a table in the far right corner where a group of young girls was sitting. Probably freshman's.

Camila's sweet smile vanished. She cleared her throat and the girls looked at us. "This is my table so get your stupid asses out of my seat so I can eat my lunch." She demanded and any sorrow I felt towards her disappeared. She was a bitch. Just like her dad.

The girls quickly ran off and Camila's sweet expression returned. Three girls joined us at 'Camila's Table'. They introduced themselves as Dinah Jane, Normani and Ally.

Dinah Jane Hansen: daughter of Gordon Hansen, Camila's personal bodyguard and the school's drug dealer.

Normani Kordei Hamilton: principal's daughter, the school's badass and a real party girl. She met Dinah because of her drug addiction.

Ally Brooke Hernandez: I didn't find anything on her beside her name. Weird. I have no idea what she's doing here.

"So, Arthea, what are you doing here?" Dinah asked and Camila kicked her under the table before glaring at her. "Ouch, what was that for?" She rubbed her leg under the table. Camila feigned innocence and I resisted the urge to laugh.

"I'm living with my grandma." I lied easily. Camila gave me a sympathetic look.

"What do you think of the school?" Ally asked me to change the subject. I looked through the cafeteria. I hated the school. The popular people like Camila would boss everyone around if I would have gone to this school when I was in high school I wouldn't have been very lucky. I felt sorry for anyone who wasn't sitting at our table.

"It's nice." I replied simply. Another lie. It was getting too easy.

Ally gave me a sweet smile and she opened her mouth to say something but Normani interrupted her.

"I disagree. This school sucks. All these people that think they're better than us. They don't understand the system." Normani complained.

"Amen." Dinah agreed and raised her cup of 'orange juice'. I'm pretty sure there was alcohol in that cup.

Camila chuckled. "I think this school is awesome. It's like our own little playground and the people are the puppets." She took a sip of her drink and smirked.

I was getting angrier with the second. Dinah laughed and I jumped up. "Where's the bathroom?" I said a little to harsh.

"End of the hallway to your left." Normani responded after looking at me weirdly. I gave her a sweet smile and thanked her before running off.
