Rudy's POV
The past few nights, I had had the same dream about my family over and over again.
It was a good one.
They were all saying goodbye to me, that they wished me good luck with everything.
I didn't realise that it would be the best one I would have in a few years.
Ring, ring
Breakfast.
I grabbed some clothes and sprinted to the dining room.
Apparently Liesel had already eaten breakfast.
I sighed.
This had been happening for the past few days.
Why was she avoiding me?!
Jesus Mary and Joseph, the food was delicious though.
Bacon, eggs and a sausage.
Hard to believe they still had to be rationed.

The Saumensch and the Saukerl

And all the people we will miss
It doesn't hurt as much it does
When you turn down my Kiss

Through everything that's happened
You are still my world
I wish you were with me,
The Saumensch and the Saukerl
The Saumensch and the Saukerl

After I had written the song, it gave me an idea.
Papa had once taught me to play the guitar, and Ilsa gave me the one which used to belong to her son.
Before going to find Liesel, I practised the song a few times, until I got it perfect.
What if she doesn't like you back?
It would be horrible if she didn't.
I'd have lost my only friend, and at school she would tell everyone and I'd be a laughing stock.
It's worth it.
Shaking, I got up and went into the library, where I knew Liesel would be.
I took a deep breath, and walked in...........
