If You Only Knew

Lea's POV

I was waiting in a Tacobell for my Boyfriend Sam to arrive so I could tell him some important news. A few weeks ago I was throwing up at certain smells, being super tired, more than usual, and always throwing up in the morning. I went to a Walgreens, and got a few pregnancy tests. I took 3 different tests, and they all turned out to be positive. I went to the doctor's with my mom just to be sure, and it turned out to be true. I am now 5 weeks pregnant. I only went to doctor's a week ago, so that's why I'm just telling him. I see him walk in, and head over to me. I stand up, and give him a hug. He hugs back, but it seems forced. Weird, I think to myself. I sit down, at the table and look at him. I say. "Listen I have some new for you". But as I say that he begins to talk, so it just sounds like a bunch of humble jumble. We laugh, and I say, "Why don't you tell me your news first." He says, okay and begins to talk. What he says breaks my heart. He says, "Listen Lea, I know we have been dating for a year and half, but I think we need to break up. I know you thought I loved you, but really I wanted you for sex which you gave to me. Know that I got that, I think I can break up with you. My real girlfriend is out in my car waiting for me. Goodbye Lea." That's what he said, and then he got up, cast me one last look, and left. I watched him walk out to his car, get in the drivers side, and kiss I'm guessing his girlfriend. I just sat there speechless. I finally got up, and walked out to my car. I started to bawl my eyes out in the car, just letting my emotions go. How am I going to get through this? Should I do adoption? No, this is your baby. All these thoughts were running through my head as I bawled my eyes out in my car. I knew though, that stress was bad for the baby, so I would just have to deal with the thought that I was going to have to raise this baby by my self. If only he knew.

2 Years Later; Sam's POV

I turn on the TV in my apartment. It's on the news, so I just leave that on to watch as I wait for the pizza guy to get here with my food. I'm just playing on my phone when something the news lady is talking about catches my attention. What she says shocks me, and breaks my heart. "Local woman dies in a car crash. The other car she ran in to, was not too badly damaged, and the driver was willing to speak to us. The driver said that he immediately got out of the car to see what happened to the woman. It was terrible, he says, her leg was bent in a way that it shouldn't, and her head was bleeding a lot. I called 911, after telling her to stay still, and not to worry. The ambulance took about 15 minutes to get here, and during the wait I was the young lady. She said her name was Lea, and she was heading home from a busy day of work to get home from work. She said, it was her son's birthday, and she needed to get home as soon as possible. I asked where the father was, and she says he left me before I got the chance to tell him we were having a baby. It was extremely sad, and she even gave me her phone and showed me a picture of the boy. The last words she said before she stopped breathing were If He Only Knew. He then showed the picture of the baby, and I literally fell out of my chair. The boy had Lea's and mine looks. He had my face, but with Lea's eyes and mouth. In the picture he's giggling while Lea kisses his cheek.  They both looked adorable. That's right, I'm still in love with Lea. I ended up breaking up with the other girl, who's name I don't even remember, 2 months after I broke up with Lea. I've been trying to find her for a year and half, but with no luck. Now's she is dead, and I never got to confess my love to her. I look up at the screen to see that the news is now on commercial. The pizza guy rang my doorbell a few minutes later. I got up, paid him, and took my food. I ended up eating the whole pizza and half of the bread stick box. I basically ate my feelings, like I have been for the past year and a half. It was now my mission, to find my baby boy, and take care of him for the rest of his life. If only I had known.
