She's had it with this place. She learned self defense, but the guards still won't let her go anywhere. She does what she thinks is good for her kingdom, but they still complain and ask for the impossible. She is also at the age where she gets told she should begin looking for a husband. She is 24. She has been queen since she was 18. She lived in an orphanage for 18 years, where would she have learned how to be as magnificent a person everyone expects her to be? Ya, I'm not sure either.
You know what sounds really good to Ryu? Adventure! Not just traveling, no no no. That's for normal people. Is Ryu normal? Nope! She feels like meeting amazing people, seeing amazing things, fighting evil, having a secret hideout, living like a true adventurer! All these things may sound like what people already do, but Ryu means in a mystical way. Not a normal base, an invisible one perhaps. Not a robber, but maybe a dragon.
A Year After
(From Ryu's p.o.v.)
I met a sorcerer. He was called Sorcerer Peppermint. I introduced myself as queen instinctively, for I have not met anyone I had to introduce myself to for a while. We talked for a bit, and for some reason- I don't even know myself- I trusted him. I asked him to call me Ryu, told him it's meaning, and we proceeded to tell each other about whatever came to mind. We spoke of our past, for the most part.
Sorcerer Peppermint, or what I now call him, Pepp, was once royalty as well. He ran away from his kingdom the day before his coronation. His brother, Jack, now takes his place. Pepp is a sorcerer that knows of many types of magic, but he's fond of transformation magic. When he transforms an object, it turns red and white and smells of peppermint. His favorite color is blue. He is 60, but appears 25, because he found the fountain of youth. His real name is Ace Hearts, but he calls himself Peppermint after a dear friend of his that is no longer here. I am quite curious about this friend... They must be quite amazing for a sorcerer as wise as Pepp to inherit their name.
I've memorized all of the facts he has shared with me, for I believe he and I will be together for a long time. He has agreed to accompany me in my adventure which I have titled "Life." From now on is when I truly live, and I already have a companion! I'm unbelievably excited to get closer to Pepp and find even more friends. I hope to be of good use to Pepp and my future friends.
