Mrs. Lukasiak had given this book to me yesterday, and I still haven't had time to read it.
So, now, I call Brooke and Josh up to my room to read with me. Not only do I need emotional support, but they're part of this as well.
They deserve to know what Chloe wants us to.
Josh opens up the book, filled with Chloe's swirly cursive.
There's an introduction, clearly labeled on the first page.
"If you're reading this, please, pass it in to someone. In this order: Mom, the Hylands, Maddie, and Kendall. That's it. No one else.
I'm dead by now.
So, please read this book and everything will be explained."
I look at my brother and sister. Tears are brewing in all of our eyes, even Josh.
But we continue to read, for Chloe's sake. \\
