"Please mom!” Lexxy begged as she tried to drag her mother over to the park that was just down the street, “I want to play with the other kids,” she whined out.
“Only if you play nicely,” her mother agreed letting out a soft giggle as her daughter started to jump up and down with joy.
“It’s this way mom!” Lexxy exclaimed grabbing her mother’s hand and dragging her towards the park.
“Calm your horses Lexxy, the park isn’t going anywhere, but if you keep on pulling my arm like that, it might be,” her mother joked as she picked up her pace to match her eager child’s. She looked down admiring her little 6 year old, how time flied, it seemed like only yesterday her and her husband were taking Lexxy home for the first time, and now she was practically running their lives.
“Can I swing on the swings?” Lexxy asked as they neared the park, looking up at her mother, her blue eyes shining with hope.
“Of course you can,” he mom agreed, breaking herself away from her thoughts. “I thought you wanted to play with the other kids though?”
“I do,” Lexxy answered looking over at the playground that was becoming closer and closer, “but I want to swing on the swing sets with you, mom.”
“MOM!” Lexxy screamed as she ran towards her house, she could hear her mother and her father screaming from within, “MOM!” she cried out one more time as she got closer to the house, her fingers gracing the door knob, but something held her back. A police officer was pulling her away from her home, “Let me go!” she screamed falling around trying to get out of the police officers hold, “I need to-,” Lexxy looked up to see paramedics carrying her mother and father out of the house, their clothing soaked in blood. Lexxy felt her heart drop as one of them headed over to them and a police officer yelled, “The murderer got away!”
