Kaneki Ken. Who was Kaneki Ken to you? Kaneki Ken was your sweet,shy and timorous boyfriend. He had the passion for reading and helping others. It was hard not to fall for him. To most people he was a decent looking guy with a timid personality. But to you Kaneki was much more. His smile made your heart race. His features weren't ordinary to you but prepossessing. Ken's eyes were alluring and you wondered what secrets they held. And his personality is what caught onto you the most. You knew nobody like him. Not at all. He put everybody's needs before his and it seemed like he would die for a stranger. You guys were the average shy couple. Your relationship started off very timid and it was like tiny accomplishments were huge medals. Even holding hands was a big deal to you guys. It didn't happen much since Japan had that 'silent rule' of not to be affectionate in public. You guys still cuddled and stole occasional kisses. Or should I say used to. You guys used to cuddle and share kisses. You guys used to go on occasional library dates. You guys used to blush and turn away every time somebody said you looked cute together. Used to. It pained you not to do any of those things again. He had left and you blamed yourself for all of it. It was not your fault at all. The relationship was never called off. His friendship with Hide was never called off. His plan of leaving wasn't even told! One day he wasn't even there. He began to get distant,not just to you but to Hide as well. He was usually absent and there was rumors that he had dropped out. It was pretty likely he did. You talked to him twice if he needed anything he could just ask you. He didn't. Every time you talked to him he looked sad. You only went on one date when he was stuck to being cold towards you. You had hoped his actions would change. They changed alright. They change in the worst. The café had been closed down and you asked Hide if they relocated. Sadly,he didn't know. You texted him a bunch and sent calls. Hide tried too but it was no use. No sign of Kaneki. After four months you stopped. You had just a bit of hope until the seventh month came around. The seventh month drained every bit of hope you had. You were too tired for relationships. Boys did ask you out. In their eyes you were angelic. Even Kaneki told you that you were stunning and got jealous at times. You said no to them all. Not because you were being 'loyal' but you were mentally drained. What if they did that to you. Better not to take a risk. Kaneki's 'expedition' left you torn in pieces. You were secretly turning 'emo'. Mentally emo. It was quite embarrassing to have an emo appearance. You had gained depression from being so love sick. You had tried to kill yourself a few times but they had failed. The emo part was you slitting your wrists. It made you wear long sleeved outfits and you barely left your house. Hide never found out but he was concerned that you weren't eating properly,getting pale and not leaving. But all of that changed after a year.

It had been months after the tragedy. Tokyo destroyed. Hide dying. Ghouls invading. And you didn't really feel any better. A sigh escaped your lips. You walked upon the snowy ground with a dull look in your eyes. You were lonely without them. You averted you eyes to the ground and continued to walk. Thud. You had bumped into a person and you quietly apologized. Quickly an unsafe aura could be felt and you shivered. What if they were a ghoul or maybe a rapist?! "(Y/N)!" The voice had screamed out. Your orbs expanded. Your body felt ice cold and you slowly turned your head. Your skin had goosebumps and you were shaking. Fear was all you could feel and you were on the edge with your quick quivers of breaths. The random outburst seemed to be a familiar voice. Kaneki's voice. You turned your body and looked at the person. No. No way in hell that was Kaneki. His hair was a snowy white and his orbs were a piecing grey. The stranger's jawline was more defined and he was wearing a ripped up black suit. His features made him seem rather harmful than harmless. And he looked strong. Really strong. You said nothing and stared in disbelieve at the male above you. "Y/N)!" He ran towards you and tackled you in a tight and uncomfortable embrace. You fell to the ground. The impact almost made you knock out "(Y/N) I missed you so much!" he yelled out. It seemed like yelling and smothering you was the only thing he could do. It took you a full minute to process what was going on and you finally spoke barely audible but he could hear your voice. "Who-...Who are you...?" You asked with a fearful voice. The platinum haired male threw you harshly out of his grasp and onto the ground. He was onto of you and his hands were on both sides of your head. Those steel eyes had tears at the brim of them and you watched them spill out. "(Y/N). You don't remember me?" he said in a raspy and sorrowful tone that made you feel bad. You gazed up into his eyes. "You sound like Kaneki but you're nothing like him." His eyes spilt more tears and he began to fumble over his words. "I-I'm so s-s-sorry (Y/N) f-for le-leaving y-you. I le-e-eft to get stronger. I-I'm s-sorry." he sobbed and his nose ran as he hung his head down in shame. A part of you did want to believe that was Kaneki. I mean a random stranger wouldn't be doing this or know what happen. "(Y-Y/N) pl-please resp-o-o-o-ond. I'm g-getting worried." You felt sorry so you played along with it. You wrapped your hands around his neck and softly smiled. "Kaneki.." you whispered. "(Y/N).." he responded and placed a kiss to your lips. It was deep,meaningful and passionate. You never felt anything like this. It was like if he were to take his lips off you would just melt away. It was needy. It was forceful. It's been longing for a year. The pressure was so hard it might of actually caused a bruise. His hand was holding yours tightly. He pulled away and you both had noticeable tears in your eyes. He pulled you up and embraced you in a gentler hug. "(Y/N)...I've waited a long time. It's been forever. "I know..." you whispered back to him. "(Y/N). Forgive me if I have changed. But I'm not leaving. And neither are you. I promise. We're going to stay together forever and ever. And I'll never let you go." he embraced you tightly. "Ever"
