Information. HYDRA wanted him to steal information from the police department. Fury wanted to know all the information he was taking and what they planned to do with it. It was hard, making sure HYDRA didn't find out he was working for Fury as well. It didn't help he was still in school. It was his last year and he still found it really easy but he kept falling asleep in class and he wasn't able to focus as much anymore. Peggy and Steve were worried about him because he was clearly more stressed out and he always seemed to be tired. Pietro was the first one to say anything. They were curled up together on the couch. Bucky was falling asleep on his shoulder. Pietro wakes him and turns to look at him. Bucky looks at him, his eyes ringed with dark shadows, his features more hollow and gaunt. The scrapes were nearly healed completely but they were still visible. Pietro sighs looking at him.

"I'm worried about you. We have to remind you to eat, you're always sleeping and you can't focus anymore." Pietro sighs. Bucky swallows.

"I'm sorry. I-" He begins but Pietro cuts him off.

"Don't apologize. I just... I'm worried about you. We all are." Pietro sighs. Bucky nods.

"They're planning something. HYDRA's planning something big." Bucky mumbles. Pietro looks up.

"Does Fury know?" He asks and Bucky nods. Pietro hugs him. "Be safe."

  "I always am." He smiles.

He never got the full plan. He heard bits and pieces and knew they were going to lure the officers to their location and then jump them. He also knew there were more details than they were telling him. He explained this all to Fury before he went home. He never got a date though. One day Rumlow called him out of the blue. He picked up and Rumlow gave him an address. He told Steve where he was going and left. He stepped through the doors and looked around in the darkness. Something smashed into his back and sent him forwards to the ground. Pain shoots through his right arm as he lands.

"Hey Barnes. You f***king fairy. Miss me?" Flash snarls, ripping his prosthetic off his body. The straps bite into his flesh and leave cuts. Bucky hears his prosthetic clatter to the floor somewhere off on the left side of the room. Bucky rolls over and manages to punch him in the jaw but Flash grabs his hand and slams it into the ground. Bucky brings up his knee and Flash cries out. He jerks his hand free and starts to crawl away. He starts to stand up but Flash tackles him from behind. He bites his tongue and tastes blood. Flash grabs his hair.

"You're pathetic. I can't wait to kill you." He begins dragging him across the floor, Bucky claws at his hand. Flash throws him to the ground and then grabs him by his long hair again, Bucky was really beginning to wish he hadn't let it grow out so long. It was only about jaw length but Flash managed to get a good grip because of it. Bucky throws back his elbow and it hits his knee. It's enough of a distraction that he let's go. Bucky gets to his feet and grabs the closest thing that could be used as a weapon. He holds up the pipe and Flash laughs at him.

"Are you really going to try and fight back? It's a lost cause." He smiles maliciously.

"What about your dad, what's he gonna say when he finds out you're trying to kill me?" Bucky asks, Flash hesitates for a minute, Bucky knew his father was his weakness.

"I'd say he wasn't being fast enough." Flash's father, officer Thompson, answers. He emerges out of the shadows and into the light and points a gun at Bucky's head.

  "You're..." Bucky trails off.

"HYDRA. Yes. And I know you've been feeding Fury information. Now that we've finally have everything in place we can make our move. Call fury and request back up." He instructs.

"And if I don't?" Bucky growls. Flash picks his bat up from behind some crates and swings it into Bucky's leg. Bucky screams and falls forward.

"Your spine's next." He threatens. Bucky swallows and picks up his phone. Flash stands behind him to make sure he doesn't try anything.

"Fury." He whimpers and he sees Flash pull back the bat in warning. "I need you to send the police force to the warehouse yard at the end of 1o7th and 41st street." He tries to keep his voice steady but it cracks slightly at the end.

"Alright Barnes." Fury answers. Bucky looks at Officer Thompson after hanging up.

"He said he'll come." Bucky informs them, trying not to cry.

"Good. You know what to do." He replies.

"What do yo-" Flash swings the bat into the back of Bucky's head. Bucky falls forward and lays still.

"Bind him and gag him." Mr. Thompson instructs. Flash nods and does just that.

Bucky wasn't sure why he finally came back to his senses again, he had this feeling though, that it was because of how much pain he was in. He forces his eyes open and is greeted with a terrifyingly familiar scene. And suddenly it wasn't the industrial warehouse anymore, it was the apple ware house. He can feel himself beginning to panic so he reminds himself everything that's changed since then and that he's smarter, stronger too. He begins to work his wrist from where it was tied to the chair. It slips free pretty quick, Flash never could tie knots and he still wore shoes with Velcro. Bucky leans forward and works on the ropes tying his ankles to the chair, the door to the warehouse swings open and all hell breaks loose. Bucky sees the entire police department flood in, HYDRA's forces greet them. Bucky watches as everyone begins to fight, he grabs his pipe off the floor and swings it at the closest HYDRA agent. He hears a gunshot and freezes.
